RE: [WINDOWS] XBMC on iMON Display (LCD / VFD) for Windows - gibxxi - 2012-04-15

The speaker icon switching is working fine for me ToXIc69, is this what your having issues with? Having said that, my system IS running via optical SPDIF to my amp and exclusive mode is turned on for the driver. Also the sound output setting in XBMC is set to 5.0 (I have no subwoofer).

Love this software & have been using it for a while now. Just wondering when a media file is playing, is there a way to either display the time elapsed/the time remaining, or else a graphic equalizer for the file, rather than the season/episode title that currently displays? Is there a list of options for strings that can be entered here?

Thanks
Paddy

I support you request, Paddy. I PM'd BlackMan about it and made some similar suggestion(s). I think we'll have to be patient...

Anyway: it's really great software indeed and I'm glad Blackman is working on it Nod

ToXIc69: The 'Show sound system' option must be turned on to switch the speaker icons properly. Will this solve your problem? If not, please, provide me with the debug log with the detailed logging on so I can check it.

I'm really sorry for the late reply. Been busy. I don't shutdown my htpc often but I needed to do so after some Microsoft updates and the speaker icons work. Thanks for your hard work man and making this plugin better and better every release.

i have 2 little problems: sometimes when i clean up xbmc database i get a timeout in your software. then i can do nothing to resume. just close and restart helps.
and the auto start bring a symbol in the task bar and in the info area. But the program in the taskbar is not able to maximize or to close. i start it with windows task planner now. because the program in taskbar prevent xbmc sometimes from start in full screen at start up or wake up.
its not a big problem just a reference.

edit: sry for google translate Wink

Problems when changing profiles - sfontes - 2012-05-24

Thank you for this great program. I have it working well in my setup. There seems to be a problem when switching profiles though. Whenever I switch to a new profile, xbmc-on-imon stays connected, but it no longer updates the display. It continues to display whatever was last shown in the previous profile. If I restart xbmc-on-imon, it works correctly for the new profile.

Any chance this could be fixed?

Thanks

RE: [WINDOWS] XBMC on iMON Display (LCD / VFD) for Windows - BlackMan - 2012-05-24

I have no experience with profiles in XBMC. Thus, just a guess: Is your settings correct when switching to another profile? I mean the ports XBMC is communicating through...

RE: [WINDOWS] XBMC on iMON Display (LCD / VFD) for Windows - sfontes - 2012-05-24

Thanks for the quick reply.

Xbmcforimon will work for all of my profiles, it just fails when I switch between profiles. Its like it stops getting updates when the switch occurs.
I searched a little more and I found a post
(2011-09-19, 15:08)Montellese Wrote: ...
We first wanted to provide a notification on Profile switching but the problem is that the TCP server is shutdown when logging out of a profile.
...
that says that xbmc will shutdown the TCP server when switching profiles. But it must reopen it, because if I restart xbmconimon (leaving xbmc running), it successfully connects again (same port) to xbmc with the new profile.

I would think that if xbmc closes its network connections, xbmconimon would notice, and go into its retry mode, but this does not seem to happen.
