I can't find xbmcandroid.com,
minixforums.com can't be added.

It's useless for me, I will make use of tapatalk.

I just installed this and tried to add xbmchub from the "Add From Online" option. I highlighted xbmchub.com and hit Enter/OK but absolutely nothing happened! I feel like I'm going crazy. The only thing I can think of is the fact I chose not to install the new keyboard or fonts (wanted to have a look at it working before I changed my current things).

Is there anything else that could be foiling my efforts? Looks a nice addon by the way as the already added xbmc.org works a treat!

I was able to add XbmcHub by using the "Add Forum" option and manually entering the web address. Unfortuantely I was unable to select a logo. Again I could move between the different logos but selecting one was not possible. I do hope I'm not missing something obvious and making myself look a complete prat! Smile Very nice work by the way.

I just tried the FB version off the main XBMC repo and got the same issue when adding a forum from online. Updating to the version off my repo fixed it.

Install my repo (http://ruuks-repo.googlecode.com/files/ruuk.addon.repository-1.0.0.zip) and update from there and let me know if it is fixed for you.

Worked a treat! Super super stuff Smile Also updated my Google and priceless PicasaWeb addons...looks like I haven't been keeping up to date.

So the version on the official XBMC repo is flawed? I was hitting Enter for ages on FB and wondering why nothing was happening! Big Grin

P.S shhh nobody tell hstegeman Big Grin :p

I really should have spent more time reading the first post. In particular the bit about the latest version being on your repo! May I suggest a nice large red font?

Since I am making use of a htpc this addon is working much better for me, but I have one error message. I am trying to add minixforums.com. I am getting the next error message: error, error filling forum list. How can this problem be solved?

Here is a logfile.

minixforums.com worked for me. Try installing my repository and updating to the newest version of Forum Browser.
If it still doesn't work, send me another log.

RE: [RELEASE] Forum Browser - Programs Addon - dhead - 2013-08-13

Hi ruuk.

Thanks for creating this addon.

I haven't test it thoroughly but it looks to me that there may be an issue with Hebrew.

On the forums (in the failed examples listing) I had tested:
* The forums listing and threads listing are displayed correctly.
* The addon can't parse the individual threads (display the posts).

I've never used Forum Browser before and I would like to know if this a general issue with Hebrew (as it's written from rtl as Arabic) or just sites specific issues (so one need to create a custom parser).

Working Examples

Tested with Forum Browser v2.1.0 and Gotham on Linux (built from master)

When I get a chance I'll check those out.
In the meantime, try installing my repository and updating to the newest Forum Browser version. Since the official repo version I've added some code for better handling of character encoding. That may possibly fix the issue.

v2.1.12 - ruuk - 2013-08-16

Version 2.1.12

Changes:
- Fix for encoding errors because of broken encoding handling
- Fix for forums failing that use conversation PMs (example: minixforums.com)

On my REPO.

Should be fixed now
(2013-08-13, 23:06)dhead Wrote: http://www.fxp.co.il/
This is a forumrunner forum and it appears something is wrong on the server end which causes no forums to be returned in the forums list.

Should work now, but uses the parser browser so may not work completely, though I didn't have any problems in my limited testing.

This should be fixed in the new version. minixforums.com uses a different kind of PM system that was causing errors when checking the PM counts. FB now handles this situation properly, but viewing private messages will not work on Xenforo based forms like this until I implement handling for the different messaging system.

RE: [RELEASE] Forum Browser - Programs Addon - dhead - 2013-08-16

Thanks ruuk.

Here are another two Tapatalk forums that doesn't recognized as Tapatalk

http://www.carsforum.co.il/
FB seems to take forever to test the forum when trying to add it (but I did test it with a Gotham from git master build).
I might add that I didn't found the direct Tapatalk link when looking at the code of the main page so maybe that's the reason if so than I guess it doesn't worth checking.

http://www.aqua.org.il/
For this even manually entered the Tapatalk url www.aqua.org.il/forums?location=index
it's interensting that the forum does parsed by FB (not as Tapatlak) but FB doesn't show the right encoding for the text.

Another interesting issue is that it seems that pictures aren't recognized on FB for http://hwzone.co.il (Tapatalk) but do on the Tapatalk app.
Here's an example thread: http://hwzone.co.il/community/threads/530068-Street-modeling-WIP-MAYA

p.s.
Arabic, Hebrew and I believe Persian direction is RTL it would be nice to have the post's text aligned to the right (but probably a time consuming task so maybe in the far future).
