Here are another two Tapatalk forums that doesn't recognized as Tapatalk

http://www.carsforum.co.il/
FB seems to take forever to test the forum when trying to add it (but I did test it with a Gotham from git master build).
I might add that I didn't found the direct Tapatalk link when looking at the code of the main page so maybe that's the reason if so than I guess it doesn't worth checking.
You have to use (generally) the URL of the forum main index. In this case it was www.carsforum.co.il/vb/ which worked for me.
It will tend to be slow when it fails, because it will be checking several more possible URLs.
(2013-08-16, 22:57)dhead Wrote: http://www.aqua.org.il/
For this even manually entered the Tapatalk url www.aqua.org.il/forums?location=index
The main forum URL of www.aqua.co.il/forums/ worked for this one.
(2013-08-16, 22:57)dhead Wrote: it's interensting that the forum does parsed by FB (not as Tapatlak) but FB doesn't show the right encoding for the text.
If FB can't detect Tapatalk or Forumrunner, it will check to see if it can parse it with the parser browser, and if so add it that way.
(2013-08-16, 22:57)dhead Wrote: Another interesting issue is that it seems that pictures aren't recognized on FB for http://hwzone.co.il (Tapatalk) but do on the Tapatalk app.
Here's an example thread: http://hwzone.co.il/community/threads/530068-Street-modeling-WIP-MAYA
Pictures added as attachments to the post is not implemented yet, but normal pictures embedded in the post should work. The link you posted has pictures as attachments.
(2013-08-16, 22:57)dhead Wrote: Arabic, Hebrew and I believe Persian direction is RTL it would be nice to have the post's text aligned to the right (but probably a time consuming task so maybe in the far future).
I'll add that to my TODO list. I'll either need to create a special right aligned skin, or modify the skin xml's at runtime to change the text labels to right aligned. There is no way for me to programmatically change the justification of any text displays after the window has been displayed.

Thanks ruuk for the quick and thorough response.

Image attachments should be working in when I do the next update. I just wanted to thank you for including a link with english text, because I would never have been able to find it in Forum Browser otherwise Smile
Plus, you forced me to find a bug with the "Search Threads" function.

Next update will also have some initial support for right aligned text (I'm almost finished adding it). You will have to set it on a per-forum basis in the forum settings, because there is no easy way for me to detect what language is being used.

Great, looking forward to test this.

v2.1.13 - ruuk - 2013-08-18

Version 2.1.13

Changes:
- Show conversation counts for forums that use the conversation PM format (conversations not viewable yet and button is disabled)
- Fix a bug causing "Search Threads" to fail
- Display image attachments in posts
- Fix encoding errors when opening context menu on a selected forum/thread
- Initial implementation of text right alignment for forums in languages that read from right to left
- Added setting to forum settings dialog "Right Align Text"

On my REPO.

When right align text is enabled, some skin elements may be badly formatted. I still need to go through all the skins and see where I need to change some things so that some elements are excluded from the change to right alignment. This is especially true of the Video skin.

RE: [RELEASE] Forum Browser - Programs Addon - dhead - 2013-08-19

Wow ruuk, RTL alignment working nicely.

There're few encoding issues on a few posts and threads headers here and there but overall this is great.
I'll make a nice list with examples (it will take me some time) of these issues.

Amazing job !
Thanks Smile

RE: [RELEASE] Forum Browser - Programs Addon - ruuk - 2013-08-19

I'm going on vacation tomorrow morning. I'll probably have access to the forum, but I won't be doing any coding for a week Smile

v2.1.14 - ruuk - 2013-09-30

Version 2.1.14

Changes:
- Fix a bug causing newly added forums to fail

On my REPO.

Hi ruuk when clicking on a youtube link from left hand menu, the results are a black screen with a tiny white cross in the center.
The video plays fine in the dedicated youtube addon

Here is a Log

I'm using XBMCbuntu V12.2 - Forum Browser V2.1.14 - Confluence skin.

This is the video link direct

Thanks for your time Angel

Hmmmmm......
It played fine for me (YouTube 4.4.4). I noticed you had YouTube 4.4.6 so I upgraded and it still played. I don't see any errors in your log so no help there Smile (well it was actually helpful because I was able to verify the video ID was the same and also compare the logs)
Could you send me a screenshot so I can see what you are describing?

RE: [RELEASE] Forum Browser - Programs Addon - hasselhof - 2013-10-05

Hi ruuk
The screen with white cross in the center is just before xbmc resets itself, back to the frodo splash screen.
Leave it with me for tonight as I have an idea, you jogged my memory, a short while back I had a problem with youtube, I will re install youtube
Thanks for your time speak to you soon.

RE: [RELEASE] Forum Browser - Programs Addon - Krunchy - 2013-10-10

Hi,

My first post here after recent install of XBMC (loving it).
I came here wondering why the Forum Browser wouldn't accept my choice of Logo.
Found your updated repo.
Installed it.
Now it works perfectly.

Thanks, Ruuk
