But them transitions are the things that is going rock this theme out of the park. I Love my "Night.Purity" skin. But I can see this really REALLY selling XBMC to a lot of new users down the road. I Did a showcase of the setup on youtube a few weeks ago. And then showed my online friends why I raved about XBMC so much. They was just happy using VLC/WMP/Winamp. Then I showed them mXBMC with "Night.Purity" and now they are all sold on XBMC. This skin will do just the same think. All that is left for XBMC to do is 1 Get blu-ray disks to play like in set top box. (unencrypted disks only) 2 add a full on Audiobook library system. 3 Sort out 3D systems. (Not easy as nobody still has a standard to work too) 4 Invent Warp Drive. - blacklist - 2011-02-12 07:16 Oddsodz Wrote:I Would say "Night" was the 1st "dynamic" theme (well I am bound to be wrong). I think what I am most proud of so far is the total immersive feel of the skin. We are packing a TON of information in there, live rss feeds, some interesting games with the database to make things a little more "media rich". The animations are gorgeous, and we are only going to pack it with more goodies from here on in. The goal is to provide a smooth, seamless interface. Its definitely different than anything out there, and there is a bit of a learning curve with the navigation of the home screens in particular... but I think that once you get the hang of it, its pretty intuitive. - blacklist - 2011-02-12 08:20 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twz8A7Z0_-A You wanted the best? You got the best! - KISS Actually, still some work to be done here, not 100% on all the views, but you'll get an idea of some of the goodies we've been working on. Well. ronie has. I just keep him with an endless supply of silly ideas. - garyi - 2011-02-12 10:36 Shit the bed mate but this looks good! Ronies fingers must be like nubs now. - Broads - 2011-02-12 11:30 Holy carp that looks fantastic! Blacklist you and Ronnie are wizards. Keep up your very fine work. I for one can't wait... - brenter - 2011-02-12 13:14 wow this looks really, really good. keep up the good work, cant wait to try it out. - nessus - 2011-02-12 14:50 This is a huge work in coding & graphics level. Congrats to all involved in this for their passion and..... their patience !!!. I personally wouldn't use it. To clattered interface for me. I am not an simple style fan but this is to much. Also one more downside for me is that it has 60% standard textures (backgrounds, Polaroid frames etc) and 40% dynamic textures (posters, fanart etc). Nonetheless.... as i say is excellent work. Especially in coding level. Cheers Nessus - blacklist - 2011-02-12 16:43 nessus Wrote:This is a huge work in coding & graphics level. Although, I do think the animations are over the top when you load the views where all the movie are for instance, it reminded me of PowerPoint slides, when everything comes flying in from somewhere, apart from that, it's outstanding! - blacklist - 2011-02-12 22:53 alshain Wrote:looks awesome! Yeah, this is going to be a love it or hate it thing. (hoping for more of the former, and not the latter, but who knows) |
