Recommissioning XBOX controllers - outleradam - 2010-12-06

I posted a blog over at HyundaiAftermarket.org on how to make a USB>original XBOX and original XBOX > USB adapter. It's really simple and self explanitory. It can be used to hook up your old XBOX controller to your new XBMC media center.

I'm planning on doing a bunch more tech blogs. Any suggestions?

So you have to sacrifice one of your controller ports in an xbox to make the adapter cord?

That's pretty cool, but these things are literally $3-$5 on eBay including shipping (click here)

These are for both the xbox controller -> PC and vice versa.

The USB -> breakaway adapter is only $2 including shipping, but these will only work with the controllers and not the DVD remote dongle.

To make the adapter cord for Keyboard > Xbox you sacrifice a controller, or a $5 extension dongle from gamestop. To make the XBOX>Computer, you physically remove the port from the XBOX and make the adapter. I have a couple of old XBOXs and controllers so I tore them apart to make adapters.
