Here you go
http://www.reconcept.netxbmc.txt

I see this in the log file
22:53:47 T:10132 DEBUG: [script.cinema.experience] - Movie MPAA: PG-13
22:53:47 T:10132 DEBUG: [script.cinema.experience] - Slide MPAA: R
22:53:47 T:10132 NOTICE: [script.cinema.experience] - Slide Rating above movie rating - skipping whole folder
What does that mean..... why would Return of the Jedi slides be rated RHuh

Went into settings and unticked limit trivia by rating of movie but that didn't work....

Okay.... changed my slide rating in xml file... she's running.
Thanks for the help!!!

Your problem is unique. In fact you're the only reported case of that error. Is your XBMC downloaded directly from XBMC.org?

Yes, always.

Hello giftie,

every time i press "q" in movie-mode the view just jumps to the next movie in the library without playing anything. Have searched around here, but couldn't find the right solution. I configured CE just to stream 1 trailer before the movie should start, ervery other option is deactivated.

You can find my error-log here: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=109753

Hope to get the baby running.
Thx in advance.

Can you try the test using the test vesion 3.0.7 available here -> http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=87563&pid=1577889#pid1577889 makes sure you enter settings and click ok. Then restart XBMC.

It is. Could you suggest any method to fix? Or if not can you tell me what error it is so I can investigate?

I'm using with Aeon MQ5

Trivia slides... I have a lot of these downloaded from various sources.
They seem to have 2 different naming structures.
Examples....
question1a (question)
question1b (answer)

or they can be (with or without the clue)
question1_a (answer)
question1_c (clue)
question1_q (question)

Which is correct or does it even matter? Either way its not working correctly for me. Instead of displaying the question then the answer it simply picks slides at random... answers or questions it just throws up whatever.
I would think the second naming scheme would be correct since in the settings it lets me choose how long to display question, clue, and answer so it has to know which are which.

I'd be interested to hear the answer to the naming convention question above. If the naming convention for the HT SlideVision slides needs to be changed I will be more than happy to do so.

I don't think your naming convention has any issues. The whole problem was that I didn't know I needed the xml files in the slides folder I was using.
I've downloaded a crap load of slides from a few different sources for this. It appears to be split between how you did it with no spaces and an underscore before the a,b, or c.

I do have another question though. As of now my slides are in many different folders... named for the movie or category. Is there a way to have XBMC pull from multiple folders? I don't really want all of my slides in one folder but I also don't want to necessarily be limited to one movie or category.

Is it like this in all skins or is this an MQ5 issue?

It would also be cool if you could setup different slide scenarios for different movies. For example say I was going to watch Lord of the Rings.... I may want it to only use LOTR slides for these movies. Or the same with other specific movies. Then have a general setup that would just pull from all the slide folders for all the other movies that you may not have specific slides for.

Good question hopefully one of the guru's can answer it for you. I'm still learning the in's and out's of XBMC myself. One of my goals for 2014 is to get HT SlideVision to be as seamless an integration into XBMC as possible. To that end if anyone who has the collection and has any suggestions on what would make the integration easier please let me know.

Thanks,

Hi, I've been using the monthly builds for XBMC for some time with Back Row and Cinema Experience with no problems (Most recently Gotham 13 alpoha 10) and had no problems for a few weeks when it decided to now freeze when I try to launch CE. I recently upgraded to the newest monthly build (Alpha 11) and it still causes xbmc to freeze when trying to launch CE. My log is at http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=110423

Thanks.

If you have all you slides in a parent folder(ie Slides). Then have Cinema Experience pull from the the parent folder.

This may be a feature in the future, more likely slide filtering based on genre.

Though it would not be through XBMC you could use the naming convention system I have set up for the .mkv movies to accomplish a themed slide program. You would need to play them through a media player such as VLC in advanced open. You'll notice the .mkv's have a prfix of aa, ab, ac etc. you'd just need to rip your feature movie and add the prefix of ad in this scenario. You would then change the two letter prefix of the slide .mkv videos to the alphabetical order you want them to play in. Below is an example of the directory structure of the .mkv files and one of the included .mkv slide movies.

RE: [RELEASE] Cinema Experience - the new Home Theater Experience Script - tommymsw - 2014-01-16

I upgraded to Gotham alpha 11 and I no longer have the "addon does not have the correct structure" error when trying t install.

I am assuming these are known issues with the Gotham version, but I will add them just in case:

1. Trivia slides to no longer play in order (i.e. question and then answer)
2. I have music in the background of trivia that is set to a lower level, the music gets real loud again for about 10 seconds at the end of the trivia before it fades out
3. If you choose a video for the previews outro, the previews will not play.

I am not sure where the "Movie Theater Outro" video is supposed to play (before or after the movie) but if it is before, it also does not play.
