I know you probably need a log file but I'm not at home so I thought I'd see if anyone else ever ran across this issue.

EDIT: Here is the log file - http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=245793

EDIT 2: So it turns out that once I start a movie normally and then quit, Cinema Experience works flawlessly. However, if I start XBMC and try to access CE straight away it won't work. I'm almost 100% certain that it has to do with some sort of audio malfunction. It might be related to the Alsa driver acting up.

I'm having the same problem. Trying to start a movie directly through CE crashes XBMC. Starting a movie normally, stopping it, then re-opening through CE works fine.

So it is not an isolated case - interesting.

RE: [RELEASE] Cinema Experience - the new Home Theater Experience Script - greg_p - 2014-07-22

Is anyone able to assist with this?

(2014-07-11, 16:32)greg_p Wrote: Here are my de-bug reports.

Your debug xbmc.log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=244575
Your debug xbmc.old.log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=244576
Your XBMC crashlog: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=244577

to re-iterate, this crash happens when I try to run this add-on, no other time. And only until recently has this started to occur, I was using this successfully for years before Gotham install (but might be a co-incidence)

(2014-07-10, 19:23)greg_p Wrote: Thanks. I will follow the format and post as soon as I can, as this add-on was my most favorite until recently.

You can use http://xbmclogs.com/
Also, I believe if it's crashing there should be a crash log in the same folder.
Check section 3 here.

Hi.
I want eventghost to be triggered when 3D intro video and trailers start. For some reason i cannot get home automation triggering to work when 3D is integrated. When I use regular 2D material, eventghost notices xbmc events and gets triggered just fine. Any ideas why 3d videos cause issues?
Here's my xbmc log and home_automation.py file

EDIT: solved. From the link in the first page found a file automation.py for eventgost. Downloaded it and replaced the old automation.py.

Don't bother - thread's dead.

The dev posted about 10 days ago. I hardly call that dead

What version of Cinema Experience are you using ?

I had the same problem using version 3.0.10/4.0.10

I now have version 3.0.13/4.0.13 with Gotham 13.1 and it is working fine.

That is very interesting! I just downloaded the version that I can get through the repository via Openelec. Could that be outdated?? If it is, how do I install the latest version if I'm not on a standard OS (using Openelec)?

EDIT: You're right, the version you download via the repository is the outdated 4.0.10 add-on. I'll try to get 4.0.13 installed to see whether that makes a difference.

Not sure about Openelec, I'm using Windows and after you download the .zip file you can go to Settings, Add-ons, Install Add-on from Zip file.

Do you have a link for 4.0.13? I can't find the zip file anywhere...

Cheers! But when I click on the embedded settings file of that download, it lists 3.0.12?

This might be a silly request, but, would it be possible to have two trailer modes? This is the sequence I'd like:

* Coming Soon To Theaters.mov
* [plays 3 new trailers from Apple or Youtube or etc]
* Coming Soon to DVD.avi
* [plays 3 trailers of movies in my XBMC library]
* And Now, Our Feature Presentation.mp4

That way, as my husband and I are about to watch a movie, we can say, 'oh, we should go see that in theaters.' And then a few minutes later, 'oh, if we watch a movie tomorrow night, let's watch this one' (or, as I just did three times in a row, 'ewwww, why do I have this movie in my library?!').

Sorry if this has already been asked; I tried a few keywords and couldn't find anything similar in the thread.

RE: [RELEASE] Cinema Experience - the new Home Theater Experience Script - lja2014 - 2014-07-27

I have been trying to use Cinema Experience, I can play one movie, however if I stop that movie, then xbmc locks up and I have to restart the PC. Without CE movies play ok and there is no locking?

Gotham 13.1

Based on above posts, I have tried to download and install 4.0.13 but no luck. Any help please. Thanks.

Fyi - That link is for the "Master" branch. If that doesn't work for you, click the down arrow and go to the "Gotham" branch and try that. For what it's worth that one has the 4.0.13 version code embedded, even tho both branches changelog files show the newer 4.0.13.
