There has been a problem with streaming files if there is a video preceding the streams, apparently it only shows up when Cinema Experience but I am 90% positive that the script is not at fault, since it is just sitting in the background triggering Home Automation signals. If you drop the videos before the trailers, it should not have a problem..

anyway can you tell me what exactly "Home Automation script" does, have it disable or enable ?
Also what is "enable que instruction"

This is a small file that the script triggers at specific points during the use of Cinema Experience. I provided a version that works with EventGhost a couple pages back, that some are using to adjust their lighting when watching movies.

When using the proper skin(I've lost count now) that allows the script to be started from the Home Menu, the script displays a small window that has instructions on how to Queue movies to get them to work. There is also another feature in the settings that allow you to set up a movie Night with Multiple Features(only works with some skins) where the script can add an intermission video between the movies

Hi,
Okay When i run the plugin it runs everything nicely but when it goes to run the audio, rateing, and the movie it just stops and goes back to the menu. is this something others are haveing a problem wih or is it just me?
I just want to know so i know which direction to go for help.

play dvd/bluray disc with cinema experience - nightseye - 2011-05-21
Hi Folks
I hope this isn't a daft question....
is it possible to play a dvd or bluray disc alongside cinema experience? or does it only work for movies stored on a hard drive?
I've not been able to find any concrete info about creating an item in the movie or video section to add a disc in a similar way as adding a stored film, or accessing the cinema script from the dvd entry in the list of sources.
I'm only able to play the disc from there. I hope someone here does know if and how it's possible.
Essentially what i want to be able to do is have all the fun movie experience before the film on a disc starts. (xbmc appears to be able to skip to the main menu on a disc bypassing the usual rubbish before it, which is great.)

PS I also have the same problem, as others here, with the trailers streaming after the coming attaraction video plays. ie it freezes and i have to close and reopen XBMC to play the film. (as mentioned in an earlier post, I've turned off the coming attraction video file, and it works ok, but i would like to have it working again.

What does everybody have this set to? On,off and if off with the enable for movies on or not?
The reason I ask is I was having a bit of choppy playback and turning it off appeared to solve it or maybe it was just a passing error?
Had it on a 2nd movie (only had this twice ever) and It didn't (maybe file fault), but hence my slight confusion.
So what is the best setting for general use and particularly smoothest playback please?

I get no trailers played at all for any movie I queue up. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong here? For what it is worth, I am using the Aeon NOX skin.

XBMC is freezing up, not the script, I've posted info for the XBMC developers to look into. Not much I can do.

Your log shows that you have Apple Movie DB selected, which mean you need to have the Apple Movie Trailer(not lite) installed and used for this to work. The log shows an empty response from accessing that database.

i'm using Dharma 10.1 with Confluence, does that have the ability for dvd-stub files? or is it only the nightly builds?
I've looked here http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Media_Stub_Files and it's not completely clear.:o
I'm also having trouble locating the advancedsettings.xml (i'm using Win 7) anyone know where that can be found?:o

I have a minor issue with Trivia slides. For some reason, a few trivia slides come up as black screens. It is possible that it is a problem with the format of the image or a corrupt image. but I can't locate the problem files. DO you get the list of trivia slides displayed if you enable debug mode?
