I did not add chapter name because most of the time it just shows chapter00001 or something like that, which just ruins the info screen imo.
Did you try the lite_floor theme? It's a lot less dark.

I've noticed that in this version, any TV show that has unwatched episodes and a "Season 2" will show the new icon on the Season 2 folder for any view that shows the new icon. It does not show it in other folders that also have unplayed episodes (in my case, the entire library is recently added so most all episodes are viewed as unwatched). Marking the folder as watched does remove it. Here is an example:



For this show, every episode is currently marked unwatched and were scanned as part of the initial library add, but Season 2 has the "New" icon. This behavior is replicated across the other shows as well.

This behavior was not present in the official 2.0.0 version.

Just FYI! Thanks for a fantastic skin!

Will look into that. i did some change to the code as in 2.0.0 the season new flags were completely missing.

This is now implemented. If you have flags for your country please post them in the translate topic for easy reference and I will add them to the skin.

Oh, I should mention that development is now done in the 1080 branch, so you might want to check that out to see the latest and greatest (but expect bugs, cause the conversion is yet to be 100% checked)

So how do I grab the 1080 version?
I found the branch here

The git url to pull is the same as the 720 version. I tried pulling it anyway into a different directory and it grabbed the 720 version again.

Just pull the regular version and do a git checkout 1080. If the branch is not htere try doing a git pull --rebase and then git checkout 1080.

What's the difference between the versions, does it really look much different? The 720p looks great on my 1080p 40"

Not much different because the textures in the 720p version are already 1080p. Reason for the change is because it's better to have the code in the same resolution as the textures (for coding) and I'm taking it as an opportunity to make big changes in the skin, mainly removing some of the (imo) trivial options, optimizing code & textures and replacing some viewtypes with new ones.

Sounds awesome Big_Noid, Looking forward to the changes best skin for xbmc just keeps getting better, as long as you leave bannerPlex (Best TV view I have used in XBMC) I am happy Wink. Can't wait to see the changes, Will you eventually switch the SVN version to the 1080p version? Or what is the best way to use the 1080p version and still get the updates automatically?

Clone my repo is the only way atm. I have no control over svn version. That is maintained by passion team.


I had to revert the localized unwatched flags unfortunately. It seems system.language is returning empty in lists thus making the localized flags impossible atm.
