Just wish there was a little color variation and not just black, sort of how Alaska uses light red and grays with subtle gradients in between. I may make some of these in an upcoming release. I will leave this revision as is, for the time being, however. htpc guy Wrote:Also when using the night view I get a blue OSD when I press my menu or info buttons while playing a movie or tv show. I have made changes to the OSD on all themes, as I noticed a lot of them were not as nice as they could have been. New color XML's can be found here, or you can wait until Hitcher provides an update containing the new themes. (This may not be immediate, of course. He's a busy man!) - DurhamDev - 2011-01-12 22:56 New theme alert. "Durham Smoke", with new colours and icons, is now available. The XML and XBT package can be downloaded here. As always, drop the XML file into your 'colors' directory and the XBT file into your 'media' directory. ![]() I hope you like it. - PatOso - 2011-01-12 23:11 Beautiful
- sialivi - 2011-01-13 02:51 DurhamDev, Good work. I do however agree with htpc guy that some subtle gradients like in the original theme would really kick it up a notch. - DurhamDev - 2011-01-13 02:57 sialivi Wrote:Good work. I have a PM in to Hitcher regarding a technical idea, and if it works for him, it will be much easier for me to release some new layouts, and I do fully intend to do some work on the backgrounds. Presently, they are pretty simple colours, save for the very slight diagonal gradient in "Smoke". - oswald09 - 2011-01-13 06:34 The colours themes included with the latest release are great, but the colours for the menu items if you use default home style don't look right, for example DurhamSmoke has dark blue background and black text for the menu items. - DurhamDev - 2011-01-13 06:40 oswald09 Wrote:The colours themes included with the latest release are great, but the colours for the menu items if you use default home style don't look right, for example DurhamSmoke has dark blue background and black text for the menu items. Ah, I'll have to look at that. I think I'll need to mod some of the backgrounds for better visibility. I'll get on that in the morning. (Sent on my BlackBerry right now.) I think I know what you mean. - sialivi - 2011-01-13 07:14 How about updating the first post in this thread with a description of how to create new a new theme so it's all available in one place and not spread out over several pages? Files to edit, how to package it, etc. - drtechnolust - 2011-01-13 08:15 nice - efcpoll - 2011-01-13 11:29 Loving the icons Durham Dev. Apologies for being cheeky but any chance you could share the icons? I would love to download them
