Hello! Great plugin, this feature is really important for xbmc. I am having some trouble using it. When I enter the "missing movie" list I can see some movies that aren't indexed, but for some reason if I pick "add item" from the context menu, nothing happens and I see no errors on xbmc's log. Am I using it incorrectly? I am running the latest stable XBMC version (dharma).

The idea is you use Missing Movie Scanner to find the movies that were not added to your library and then rename the files/dirs to a better matching name for that movie, then re-run the "add new" action in the files sources menu.
The context menu available from within the plugun does not do anything.

Oh, I see, I'll do that then. But what do you think about adding an option to do a manual search into the movies scrapper, like we can do through the info screen?

you should be able to use the context menu for the item in the show source list of the Add-on.
- Go to the Video Add-ons list
- Select the "Missing Movie Scanner" Add-on
- Select "Show Source Paths"
- Select the source path you want to scan for missing movies
- If there are movies missing from your library in that source path hit the back button, then bring up the context menu for that source path and select "Update Library"
If the movie did not add then you will probably need to go in and rename the file or the directory the movie is in so the external lookup service can find the movie in its DB.

But then I have to rename the file. I mean the manual search you can do from the movie info window, when you select the "update" link. From there, you can type a movie name instead of using the file name.

On my system if the movie is not in the library then you can not use the rescan feature in the movie info page. Even if I manually add the movie using the "manually add to library" option in the file context menu, it will show up in the movie library but the "Refresh" option is not available.
The only way I have found to have the library updated is rename the file/folder and re-scan.
This also means you fix it for any future complete rebuilds of your library from source scanning if for some reason you need to rebuild your system or the library format changes.

Well I've downloaded this, not too sure how to proceed now though, I tried to instal from zip.....seemed to install but cant find it anywhere how to config.....any help would be great

Does this plugin work for the new Eden Beta? It works great for me on Dharma but now I am getting a script error with Eden?

Read back and you'll see that I've been down this route with Nullpointer already.
It doesn't work. He won't be looking at Eden until a stable release in case things change. Unlucky.

Thanks. I must have missed the post when I glossed over the thread. I think this is a very important addon and don't see why it's not built in. I spent hours yesterday tracking down poorly named file when I upgraded to Eden beta.
I hope it gets fixed soon. It's a great addon.
