1.8 still not working on windows with samba shares, i use 'hidden' windows shares, so like this:
smb://moviedb/movies$/

I don't know why but it processed TV Shows just fine but I got the could not detect movie directory contact administrator message on Movies. Both paths are local drives
/media/hitachi/Movies and /media/FreeAgent_Drive/TVShows.

Lightning, as stated in the first post, samba shares are not supported.

As I mentioned they are locally mounted in Ubuntu Here's most of the log. The Movies are on /media/hitachi/Movies with all movies in their own folder with metadata. TV Series, which worked, are in
/media/FreeAgent_Drive/TVSeries/ and /media/WDDrive/TVSeries in Series Name/Season# folders.

using v1.9 with xbmc dharma on win xp sp3, and have
the movie source Y:\Movies\ (mapped network disk),
and get the message "could not detect movie path..."
when selecting the plugin.
is there no hope getting this to work?

Hi guys, I finally had some real time to sit down and figure out what was going wrong with the plugin (i.e. no one is at home to use the HTPC!
)The bug was because of a slash. A single slash! It should hopefully work for everyone now!

As I've stated, this is a lack of support from XBMC. It is completely out of my control.
If you desperately want this feature, contact the developers of XBMC and make a feature request.

Hiya Hiram,
Thanks for the updates, it's now seeing my folders as it should.
However, it seems to be listing every movie file whether it's in the database or not, including trailers.
TV Shows works great except that it marks specials as missing, even when they are not.

Glad it's working a bit better now. I'll look into the problem you're having regarding movies and get back to you in a bit - just about to go to bed.
Also, specials don't work because I've forgotten to add them in! The next release will support specials. Sorry about that!

Thanks for fixing the "/" problem. Noticed a few things in 2.0. Movies belonging to sets are being shown as missing as well as multi-file titles such as CD1 CD2. It did, however, pick up a couple of movies that really aren't in the database so it does perform a valuable and long missing function.

2.0 on my system, scanning movies, I get a dialogue box
with the title frame LALALALALALALLAALALALA something,
Y:\\Movies\\
retrieved 0 items
although there are some missing titles,
then loading the missing directory which is empty.
selecting tv shows, I get Error, script failed at the top of the screen.
my movie source is Y:\Movies\

Hahahahahaha I've forgotten to remove one of my debugging dialog boxes, don't worry about LALALALALALALLAALALALA!
I'll have a look into that as well! That's not an error I like to see though, that means it's not picking up seasons properly somewhere along the line. I'll look into that too!
The retrieved items being 0 thing seems to be a problem of XBMC, when constructing a dialog you have to tell it how many items you're adding so it can do a progess bar. Even though I tell it how many there are, it doesn't do it properly.
