Problems playing mkv files - frank75 - 2011-01-13 Re-installed windows today and downloaded latest xbmc. When i play mkv. movies, the picture jumps a tiny bit forward when watching. It happens around every 10 second Anyone know what causes this? Thx in advance I would post a debug log, but i may not post it regarding to the posting rules: You may post new threads You may post replies You may not post attachments You may edit your posts - jhsrennie - 2011-01-14 Pop the debug log on pastebin.com and post a link to it here. Tried the dsplayer and it played my mkv files fine, but now i read that this project has stopped. Installed xbmc 10 today again and still have problems with some mkv files. What can cause this? Anyone, please. http://pastebin.com/NrChWgqi Edit---------------------- Running: GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT. Screen reso: 1920x1080 (Is it possible to activate hardware acceleration with this card?) Win XP Pro SP3 CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ - steelman1991 - 2011-01-25 Not a direct answer to your issue, but WinXP is incompatible with DXVA2 - only available to Vista/Win7 users. DSPlayer, because it used Direct Show filters, allowed DXVA1 with XP builds - sadly as you know it is no longer supported. - frank75 - 2011-01-25 Thx Have read about this for some time now, so as long as i use XP, im stuck with DSPlayer because of this problem.... But it is almost perfect for me . The only problem i have with DSPlayer now is taht when i have set dsplayer to standard it will not play dvds inserted to the dvdrom. Thx again - steelman1991 - 2011-01-25 Yes if you need DXVA playback. Can't help with the DVDRom issue - I only use it to rip DVD's to the HDD for playback. - frank75 - 2011-01-25 I think im going to get Win7 to fix this problem |
