Hi there

Mrs and me are happy users of your mod, it's great, and she is usually quite picky about the skins.
Only problem: with one recent update (forgot which), the fanart view for movies lost the automatic display of info, it has to be triggered from the remote (pressing UP or whatever is set for you). I am fine with that, but she is not. "can't you use the previous one?". Obviously I won't. Is there any way to set this via an advanced setting somewhere?

- butchabay - 2011-02-13

you just have to deactivate it in the view menu.

- MR_Claude - 2011-02-13

Thanks, I must be blind, I never saw it... Will try when I get home.
Mrs will yet another reason to laugh at me Smile

I hate you.

One more thing (and maybe I'll look stupid again Rolleyes)

we have setup playlists in the TV sub-menu (mainly random unseen episodes for Comedy, cartoon...), all is fine and dandy, but is there a possibility to play the playlist (as opposed to browse) upon selection? I know it's possible in some other skins, I just don't know what it would take for it to be in Cirrus Ext.

- butchabay - 2011-02-13

Sorry now i am looking stupid, because i don't understand what you mean Smile

- MR_Claude - 2011-02-13

Let's keep it short:
-the smart playlist is in the TV Sub-Menu
-When pressed, you get to the list of TV episodes (=browse)
-I would like it to start playing automatically from the sub menu instead of having to go to the playlist view and select play/queue from the drop-down menu.

- supertom44 - 2011-02-13

That would have to be incorporated as an option as I and I imagine a few others user custom play lists sort of as seperate libraries, I have one for dvds and one for blu rays etc.

- MR_Claude - 2011-02-13

Obviously!

If you see the skin settings menu, you'll notice that it is already nearly overloaded with options. I think we can't implement every single wish as an option. I'll look at the code and tell what to change.

fair enough, that's all i'm asking for Smile

It's for Mrs, you know, myself I keep playing with the thing, she's the one actually watching stuff Big Grin

Album art problems - pang - 2011-02-13

First of all thanks for this mod which make a good skin one of the best

The problem i have is that in music the album art is not stretched to the box and hence sometime the outline of the box is seen and only partly filled. Can you please add a stretch function to the album art.

Thanks
Pang

Not sure if its been mentioned but I dont see it in the bugs list. When using recently added on the home menu, when going from one item to the next, the homescreen fanart flashes on briefly between the fanart of the two recently added items.

youre right its not in the buglist, but we noticed, just didnt worked on it,theres animation missing.
Will be made for next update.

I'm not 100% sure what the command is for starting playlists automatically, but it really wouldn't be too difficult to just hack this in yourself...

On a side note, there might be a plug-in that does what you want coming into existence, called PsuedoTV....Will present smart playlists a TV viewing guide with different "channels". They are still working on it, but it's coming along fast.

I'm all for doing it myself, I just don't know where to look right now.

Regarding my first request, I was wrong, it's not in fanart view but in Big Poster View, that Mrs. would like to have the movie info automatically displayed and not triggered, and as far as I can tell it's not in the view options. I'm sure I can do it myself, once again I'm merely asking for a hint Nod
