Any fix to this? No! Don't use a strm that doesn't work... RE: [RELEASE] PseudoTV Addon: Virtual EPG and TV Channel Surfing Script - Merc33 - 2013-04-02 Why is my library now taking days or maybe weeks instead of maybe 12 hours to scan? I have been using Dharma10.1 for long time and scanning my ENORMUS 10TB all scnned from Ember Media manager with all working INFO and posters & more. I know it tkes a long time to scan everything depending on speed of PC and size of collection. It used to scan reasonably fast with Dharma before but until recently I did complete reclean of all my XBMC on 3 machines all with good specs and worked great before. Now I tried to rescan everything from my USB2.0 or USB3,0 and also tried to scan my files over the network which is all easy to do but now it takes like 10mins just to scan a 20 episode series versus it used to take like 1min or less. It dont matter what hard drive I plug in either my 2TB or 4TB using USB or network. It would take like 12 hours to scan 12TB or so but now its going to take like Weeks and weeks. I did notice Frodo is using new library scanning methods and when i used the newest version it scanned everything like it should do in the past. Very fast indeed..but sadly Frodo dont work well with Psuedo and Frodo causing havoc on my harddrives accesing files.. I have defrag and clean all drives but DOES DHARMA have a way to speed up again? I scnned my collection using Frodo and exported the Library to single file and i did clean instal and downgraded to Dharma again and IMPORTED my library but it seems Frodo did not import any of my posters properly when downgrading back to Dharma even though it shows my posters in the EXPORT. There has got to be away to scan my full 10TB collection at faster speeds like Frodo does (and dharma once did) my collection was scanning using Ember and i have all TBN,jpgs and extratfanart and everything but it should still not take Weeks to scan. I know my Hardrives are good and Fast and no network issues . Why oh why ? My network router is perfect and it still scans slow and it also slow plugged in USB2.0 or 3.0 directly plugged in. I have Hitachi, WD and seagates and all using Win7 . Even my Fastest machines scans the XBMC library at Snail Crawl like i mentioned. Plese help anyone. RE: [RELEASE] PseudoTV Addon: Virtual EPG and TV Channel Surfing Script - Lunatixz - 2013-04-02 This post is obnoxious, not reading past the title... I would suggest you edit... RE: [RELEASE] PseudoTV Addon: Virtual EPG and TV Channel Surfing Script - redhalo - 2013-04-03 Am I missing something, that doesn't sound like it has anything to do with PsuedoTV... RE: [RELEASE] PseudoTV Addon: Virtual EPG and TV Channel Surfing Script - baditch - 2013-04-04 Just started getting a error today "script failed config.py" when trying to open up the channels to edit. Running Eden with the latest 2.1.0. I'll supply a log but just wanted to know if it was just me or not having the issue. Update: Uninstalled 2.1.0 and re-installed and the issue is resolved. RE: [RELEASE] PseudoTV Addon: Virtual EPG and TV Channel Surfing Script - spanktastic2120 - 2013-04-04 Request: An option to have a default startup channel. If you use a lot of strm files and they fail, pseudotv will crash. If youre starting it and the item its trying to open is a strm file that doesnt resolve properly then you cant start pseudotv unless its set to start at a random point or tell it to refresh the channels and then you have to hope a playable item is the first in the list. Having a default startup channel would fix this, as it could be set to something that will always play. RE: [RELEASE] PseudoTV Addon: Virtual EPG and TV Channel Surfing Script - EZ1976 - 2013-04-05 Request: can we have a channel rule that can have a movie or show MPAA starting from a curtain time? it would be cool to have my action or crime movie channel to show R rated movies only between 8 PM and 7 AM. that way i dont have to worry about my kid browsing and stumbling on an R rated movie. Bug: i think i found a bug, if i go to a movie channel and see that a movie is already 45 minutes running. if i go back to the beggening or move 10 minutes back and exit Ptv, when i come back it will resume from the original time and not the new time of 10 minutes back. for example i go back 20 minutes and see 30 min. i exit Ptv and when i get back its not advanced 30 min from the time i moved back but from the original time the movie ran on the channel. i hope i explained it ok RE: [RELEASE] PseudoTV (Video) Addon: Virtual EPG and TV Channel Surfing Scriptt - DaMan57 - 2013-04-05 (2013-03-30, 21:22)Jason102 Wrote: To those with freezing during updating, you must post a log file...it's pretty hard to debug when the only thing I have to go on is "it's broken". Also, please make sure that you're at least using a stable-pre downloaded after March 25th, I pushed a big fix for a certain crash on that day. I copied the xbmc log just before starting PTV and then after it froze, the xbmc log does not show anything except these lines. Code: 02:25:30 T:2794452032 NOTICE: Thread Jobworker start, auto delete: true I can tell you that the first fix you did for Frodo will populate the channels, after the channel configuration screen fix, it freezes. I have 4 versions since the Frodo fix and only the first will populate the channels without freezing. I have tried it on 4 different computers with same results. Tell me how to get the logs you need to locate the error and I'll get it for you. RE: [RELEASE] PseudoTV Addon: Virtual EPG and TV Channel Surfing Script - DaMan57 - 2013-04-05 I'm using windows 7 and Raspbmc. Almost all of my files are avi, consisting of a mix of divx, xvid, h264, a few flv, mp4's but no m2ts. I just tried with a new install and froze at 131 on channel 1. I did find an odd h263 sorenson a couple days ago that did not want to play right, guess was some of my early encodes. As I stated in a previous post, I populate my channels lists with the PTV I downloaded on 1-23 and then load the latest build with it set it to never update. When I need to refresh I reload the old one. Then rinse and repeat. Make a smart playlist that will match movies with whatever rating you want and make it the default channel, then make another smart playlist for R and up or whatever, and make it another channel that is set to not play, then use channel scheduling/interleaving to play things from it at a certain time. Try making smart playlists for each codec. There is a field for it, i dont know if its in the gui but it should be, if not see http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Smart_playlists#Fields . Then assign each one to a different channel and see if you can nail down the codec of the file that is messed up, assuming there is just one messed up file.
