I tested in Xbmcbuntu (12.04 LTS) and works, with the "default" videoparser.py NOT WORK. I don't know if is a recent bug or something...
I didn't say I don't believe you, I'm saying I don't think replacing a file with a two year old copy can be considered fixing your problem!!
The more I look into the videoparser.py and fileaccess.py the more i'm baffled on how this fixed your problem!!
Jason's fileaccess.py handles smb's better then just the videoparser.py from jtucker

Yes, I'm trying to put new code in the old VideoParser (all related to new TSParser) without luck....
It's absolutly incredible, but If I try to run Pseudotv with most recent VideoParser PT not detect my MKV, with the other file yes....why? xD
EDIT. The only one movie that I don't have in MKV in this test is American Beauty (AVI). After replace the file...the MKV movies appears!:

Pushed a change to use the duration from XBMC instead of determining it. It's not as accurate, but it will be more reliable and faster than the video parsers.

Hi Jason
since my optimal setup involves having my movies scraped in hebrew, it always caused PTV's epg display to be off by a movie or two.
it seems that this fix resolved the issue since it is spot-on.
and i didnt see any difference in speed so thank you very much for this fix (which of course kept me up till 4am to set everything back in hebrew)
edit: nope, unfortunately it didnt work. EPG is still off.
oh well , we will wait till next version.

but i have 3 epg lines at the bottom and another 3 epg lines in the center of the screen (with the info of the movie on top of it)

EZ you have to edit another file to get rid of the other 3 lines i forgot wich file but if you search the forums you can find it

Hey Jason. I have a little problem. When i look in my epg of ptv, every tv-show channel shows only on episode. If i scroll hours and hours along, only one episode. When the episode ends it shows me the new and the episode before. But so i cant see what is coming up next. The movie channels are all ok. There i can scroll and look whats coming up next.

i had huge EPG errors when i scrapped my shows with a hebrew scrapper.
it works great with english - could this be your problem?

I made this by myself. I don´t like the other overlays and epg´s. I made some changes.
I copied the parser/smb files from an older version, and now its a little bit better, but not 100%.
