Does PseudoTV work with Gotham?
I tried and it seemed like it was broken.

Which version did you try?

RE: [RELEASE] PseudoTV Addon: Virtual EPG and TV Channel Surfing Script - tommymsw - 2013-10-02

It does not work for me either. Word around the forum is that it does not work. I've never heard anybody who had it working.

Does anybody know if this is going to be updated to work on Gotham? It is by FAR my favorite add-on.

Hi @all

I have a solution that works PseudoTV in Gotham.
Map the drive with XBMC program-files (by me "C:") as a source.
And now, PseudoTV will run with Gotham. Wink

Sorry for my englisch

Sensman... can you clarify this a little more? Maybe show an example to help me understand?

Hi tommymsw

go to VIDEOS -> FILES -> Keyboard Key "C" -> ADD SOURCE -> BROWSE -> Drive with XBMC "C:" -> OK -> Scraper "None" -> Exclude selected folder from scans X -> OK

now run PseudoTV

Tested on "Gotham" Last Monthly Build

Son of a.... THAT WORKED! Rofl I don't know how or why but it worked! You sensman, just got your first +1! lol

I can now also confirm this method works on the October Build.

I am also running a Mysql database and I tried this on a satellite XBMC and just added the C: drive of that system.

I am running XBMC Gotham on Linux Mint, and PseudoTV is running fine without any workarounds. All of the default channels work, but unfortunately the Channel Configuration doesn't, I keep getting "Error: Script Failed! config.py". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Here is log

Figured my own problem out, it was because I wasn't using the default skin. Hope this can help someone out in the future.

RE: [RELEASE] PseudoTV Addon: Virtual EPG and TV Channel Surfing Script - lzep - 2013-10-04

So I have an issue that I searched for and saw brought up in this thread before but I didn't see a fix. The last one or two letters of the info for an episode or movie in Pseudo seem to get cut off. Is this a known bug or is there a fix? Thanks!

RE: [RELEASE] PseudoTV Addon: Virtual EPG and TV Channel Surfing Script - berryfly - 2013-10-04

Okay, so i'll try to sum this up quick. On XBMC v12, I kept getting the 'Unable to populate channels. Please verify that you have scraped media in your library and that you have properly configured channels'

I am 100% sure that my TV Shows and Movies are properly scraped. I tried several different archive versions of PTV with no luck.

Today I upgraded to XBMC v13 Gotham, loaded up Pseudo TV and it worked Great! I changed skins, still worked great with the new skin. Scrolled channels, everything worked PERFECT!

In a previous post I stated that I was having trouble configuring channels, but then I figured that out by going back to the default skin fixed the channel configuration, so I spent about an hour or so loading in the PTV channel pack, and many other channels myself.

Go to load PTV, 'Unable to populate channels. Please verify that you have scraped media in your library and that you have properly configured channels'!

I uninstalled PTV and reinstalled it with the default channels, because at least it was working then, SAME ERROR! Unable to populate! AGH! Rescraped TV and Movies. SAME THING. Here is the newest log. Has anyone been having the same problem?

I am running on Linux Mint 15, XBMC v13 Gotham. I really love PTV and havent had problems with it until just recently after I reformatted. I really hope I can get it to work!

Was this comment to me? I had Pseudo TV working on v13 without adding anything extra to my video library (I am on Linux Mint, not Windows). But it wasn't until after I added custom channels that it started giving me the Unable to Populate Channels error. I even uninstalled PTV and reinstalled it, trying to go back to the default channels (it was working previously with the default setting) and it is still giving me the Unable to Populate Channels error.

On a side note, I tried adding the root folder where XBMC is installed, and it is giving me the same error.

I am 100% sure that my TV Shows and Movies are properly scraped.

Try deleting the PTV folder in your addons and userdata folders and then reinstalling, that way youre sure to remove everything.

If it still wont work then:
Can you provide more information about your setup?
Are you using mysql or xbmc's default database? Is your library content stored on the same machine youre running xbmc from? What settings do you have in PTV and what is an example of one of the channels you cant get to work?
