- menno - 2011-06-10 There is ISO support in the latest nightlies, not all of them work flawlessly though, but the majority does! Just follow the instructions in the first post to get the latest nightly (or should i say unofficial) version installed! - stu2k4 - 2011-06-10 menno Wrote:There is ISO support in the latest nightlies, not all of them work flawlessly though, but the majority does! I really am only looking for video playback. I don't use it for much other than that. Nothing fancy, mostly dvd rips to .iso. Thanks - menno - 2011-06-10 stu2k4 Wrote:Do you have a build that you would reccomend that includes support? I really am only looking for video playback. I don't use it for much other than that. Nothing fancy, mostly dvd rips to .iso. Take either the 15th of may one, from the first post or the 9-6 one in the "very" experimental thread on this forum. They both work with ISO's although support isnt as good even as in the original oldschool xbox xbmc. - jd2157 - 2011-06-14 stu2k4 Wrote:Do you have a build that you would reccomend that includes support? Don't bother if you need a remote library (it'll crash) but if you don't need much past playback it should be fine. I've heard that a new official build might be along soon too so either way things are getting better pretty quickly. - keith - 2011-06-16 menno Wrote:Take either the 15th of may one, from the first post or the 9-6 one in the "very" experimental thread on this forum. Xbox used an entirely different player 'under the hood' in XBMC and even then it tooks years to mature. Give it time, or submit patches. - daMouse - 2011-06-17 And sometimes it still locks up or just plays sound but no video. And this is with a current Xbox XBMC. Technology just is not bullet proof. Fact of life unfortunately. Archive post for 10.0-7 issues - procrastinator - 2011-06-20 Archive of Issues for ver. 10.0-7

Other: Previous issues: 10.0-4, 10.0-0 MASSIVE thank you to Davilla, Gimli, Memphiz, Keith and Amet for their hard work on this port. - procrastinator - 2011-06-20 New release: 10.0-8
So it looks like Davilla dropped a nice little surprise in the form of release 10.0-8 yesterday. To upgrade either SSH in and run the following command: Code: apt-get update && apt-get upgrade or upgrade via NitoTV or if you are on an iPhone or iPad then upgrade via Cydia I've been very busy with work lately so I really don't know whats going on with XBMC for iOS at the moment. I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know what we can cross off the issues list, and what we need to add to it. If you've been using the latest nightlies up to now then you should know roughly what's working and what's not. Keith says that 10.0-8 is just as up to date as the nightlies currently are. . - Olethros - 2011-06-20 procrastinator Wrote:I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know what we can cross off the issues list, and what we need to add to it[/b]. MMS streams seem to finally work (at least the ones I tested against did). - procrastinator - 2011-06-20 Olethros Wrote:MMS streams seem to finally work (at least the ones I tested against did). That's great, thanks Olethros. Keep those corrections coming everyone! - multipazz - 2011-06-20 just installed the new official 10.0-8 build 19th june 2 things i noticed already... 1) I had a file that was buffering a lot before.. now plays better much less buffering... a few pauses in audio, but i guess the source is bad 2) MMS streams are now working... many thanks to the team - phirstube - 2011-06-21 music is still borked for me 10.0-8 not playing 720p mp4, played fine on 10.0-7 - cromity123 - 2011-06-21 Using IOS 4.2.1 (8C154) Just downloaded and installed 10.0-8 and BBC iPlayer HD 720p MP4 streams (via iPlayer plugin) are now choppy and unwatchable, the same streams play perfectly under Feb official build (XBMC 10.0-7). Generally XBMC seems more sluggish and less responsive with background images and icons etc taking longer to appear. I'm using Transparency skin, but same sluggishness and choppy playback of iPlayer when using Confluence skin. Debug log is here http://pastebin.com/1xJHPUza Should i update to the latest IOS? Could that be causing it? Thanks, C - multipazz - 2011-06-21 @cromity123 I am also using 4.2.1 8C154 the streams in iPlayer are fine for me.. but they take long to start - robjg63 - 2011-06-21 OK - Bought my apple tv2 in early May - Jailbroke it ok with seasonpass (which upgraded it to the latest IOS). Installed xbmc as per the wiki page. Goes pretty well apart from a little jerkiness in playback sometimes. I note the latest release note above so thought this is worth an upgrade. Did the apt-get update && apt-get upgrade as per the note above. Rebooted and went into XBMC - and checked the system info. It describes the version as PRE-10.0 compiled 19 feb 2011 Git:4b032be Now I am not sure exactly about the Git part - but the PRE-10.0 and the compiled date certainly havent changed from before - looks like I got an error at the end of the 'upgrade'. This is the log from the upgrade Using username "root".
