What have I done wrong?
&& will only run the second command if the first one completes successfully. because apt-get update failed to find the awkward repository, apt-get upgrade is never run and xbm is not updated. you can run the apt-get upgrade as a second seperate command or change the && to a ;
this wont fix the awkward repository package list update, but that shouldnt affect the xbmc upgrade unless there are new dependencies from the repository.

I also updated my ipad to the latest release and the new skin looks great but doesn’t play nicely on the ipad because the scroll bars have gone so you can no longer srol down list with your finger which is a big problem
I will try another skin, shame because I liked this new one

Thanks Matrix - ran the apt-get upgrade and its certainly updated xbmc.
I have the new layout menu - cool.
Also shows PRE 11 and June 20 compile date.

Something isnt right though - if I go into a folder of avi files that was fine before, it displays the rotating icon and "working" for 2 minutes (a real 2 minutes) before it starts playing.
Anyone got any clues?

It does actually work by swiping but not in a usable way if this was supposed to be an improvement it really isn’t
If you have a list of say 150 TV shows with icefilms you would think sliding your finger down the screen would highlight each links as you go and flick down the screen, it doesn’t if you start on the top one it will go to the next one down only, you then need to take your finger off the screen again and repeat this action, it would take several minutes to reach the last TV show, hopefully this can be sorted in some future update, like I said I really like the look of this skin so it’s a shame it’s not fully useable on an ipad.
I will install the update tonight on my ATV though.

Updated XBMC to new official build on ATV2 running 4.1.1 and now when using any of my video plug-ins, it is painfully slow to load any of the directories.
Do I need to update my ATV2, if so, to what version should I update to?

The official build is slow here as well. Starting a movie takes up to 4x the non official builds did. Also the appletv2 seems to play some movies way worse now.
Anyone having the same slow loading?

[iPad] 10.0-8 is a weird update. The interface seems faster but now there is a cursor and the interface aspect ratio is off. Also, the theme isn't as easy to get around on a touch interface and it has seemed to have lost Movie/TV shows. Performance wise, haven't tested too much.

I have also noticed a HUGE speed decrease from the time you click on the megaupload link to the time the window appears for the countdown. Normally it was almost instant and now it is about a 15-20 second delay.

OK, reverted back to 10.0-7 and HD iPlayer working properly again.

Apple TV2 running on 4.1.1 hooked up wirelessly to a Macbook running SMB sharing. Updated to 10.0-8 and have also a huge speed decrease in performance, all under the default XBMC confluence skin.
The menus are sluggish and not as responsive as before (10.0-7). Browsing the library, fan art takes a while to "update" when switching from one movie to another.
Loading up a movie takes significantly longer, previously it was around a 2 second delay, now it's more like a 5 second one.
Scraping using the IMDB scraper is awfully slow. It used to take around 10-15 seconds to scrap one new movie when updating the library. Now it takes around a minute. I wonder if switching to MovieDB scraper instead may solve this?

Just downgraded to the 06/18/11 nightly build from Keith and all is back to normal. GUI is quick and responsive again and the megaupload countdown starts almost instantly again. Will be staying on this for a while.
