Check the video cache folders:
anytime I have had the diskspace issue it was because of the CachedMediaxxx files in those folders. It should be safe to just delete everything in the folder including the .plist file

SandmanCL Wrote:10.0-9 keeps crashing on me. The AE branch of 10.0-8 from today works fine but whenever I try to 0-9 it just just brings be back to Front row. Nothing but info and debug messages in xbmc.log, with the last one being
The code being used for 10.0-9 is pre-Eden, so there have been some changes that mean that a lot of skins won't be compatible in their current form. Downgrade to 10.0-7, switch the skin to Confluence, and then upgrade to 10.0-9 again. This happened to me when I was upgrading too (though it just froze, rather than crashed for me) - I was using Aeon Nox. If you don't want to use Confluence then don't worry, most skins also have a pre-Eden compatible build available too. Check the skin's forum for details
EDIT: Sorry, thought about this a bit more. If 10.0-8 AE branch was working OK for you then what I've just said probably isn't the case. Now I don't know why it got stuck! If you're not using Confluence though, it could still be worth a try as it seems to be getting stuck on something to do with the skin

Guessing I should uninstall then delete any folders relating to xbmc that hold settings etc... anybody got any suggestions where they are please?
You need to delete the userdata folder to get rid of your personal settings. I think the location for that folder is:

Not sure in which thread I should put this or whether I should start a new one as the issue is present in both the latest official build (from 23 June) as well as earlier nightly builds I've tried.
When trying to play the highest-quality streams from the BBC iPlayer, the playback is extremely choppy. I have a few old nightly builds and I've tried them all to no avail. However, the build from April 17 plays back the video perfectly so this shows that the ATV2 can definitely handle the streams.
Here's all the info from my system as well as a debug log which shows lots of CDVDPlayerAudio:: Discontinuity errors which I assume is where the problem lies. The debug log starts with a successful playback at 1500KB quality and then a choppy 3200KB playback. Interestingly, it didn't look as if the CPU was maxing out so there appears to be a different reason for the errors.
Version of iOS: 4.21 (exactly the same happens on my friend's ATV2 which is on 4.3)
Build version number and date compiled: 10.0-9 23 June build
Install Method: dbpkg and placing the file in the Cydia autoinstall dir + reboot
Hopefully the above information will be enough to isolate the problem. If you need any other info from me, just let me know.
EDIT: This has been fixed in the 9 September nightly build

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am actually using Confluence. Confluence works well for me and I haven't really given any other skins a fair chance on the ATV2 but that's for another thread

Hmm, very interesting. Do you have a copy of that build to share ? I have don't have any builds older than May 7th in my backup folder. There's several reports out there about choppy playback, it could be interesting to have those users try this build as well.

Here's a link to the DEB:
Apparently, that build was a little buggy so after installing, copy this file to /private/var/stash/Applications/XBMC.frappliance:
Up until 10.0-9, this is the only build I had which seemed to start playing videos over SMB within a second or two, rather than the 10 or so seconds the other builds took (I think it was something to do with Fanart from what I read).
Hope this helps.

Running -9, and having some intermittent issues watching videos. The video will slow down to about 25% fps, and the audio will stop. Sometimes I can just pause it for a moment, and the video will resume normally, other times I have to stop the video entirely. Works fine again if I pick up where I left off.
I cannot attribute it to a single file type, as it does it with 720p and SD content. It's not crashing per se, so I don't think there are any logs to give. In addition, this does not happen to every video I watch. Very random.
