Hi moontan77

I have the same issue with uk/irish tv listing using xmltv.
I ask on the tvheadend forum, it seems to be limited to some DVB Standard. And like you music is the only category that is matching up for me

I just upgraded to 11.04 and was thrilled to find that it is impossible to use Mythtv with HDPVR in 11.04 due to a change in V4L in 11.04. I have never liked Myth. This seems the perfect opportunity to finally check out the PVR branch and tvheadend, but there are no packages for natty?

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

xbmc doesn't run on natty yet.
so downgrade to <= maverick or wait until someone (theuni?) fixed xbmc-packaging for natty

Thanks for the quick reply...

DOH!

I keep two installations on separate partitions, for just this reason. But somehow installing the new 11.04 has made my 10.10 install really unstable (maybe related to shared /home). So I am desperately trying to migrate everything to 11.04, but without TV, its not going to be possible.

Any idea of when tvheadend + xbmc + PVR branch will run on natty?

- opdenkamp - 2011-05-06

no idea. and it has nothing to do with pvr. when it's available for mainline xbmc, I'll make it available for xbmc-pvr too.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but if someone sent me a pm asking about using this on NA sats, make sure you have your account set to receive PMs back if you actually want a response.

jack burton Wrote:I tried to open tvheadend channels with totem mediaplayer from html interface (of tvheadend) and it works well on all channels, while with xbmc the issue persists: on some channels it works fine, and the debug console shows constant frame rate: 25 or 50 fps.
In other channels i have a variable framerate form 19 to 45, and xbmc start to reproduce video with variable speed while audio seems ok.

Any ideas ? Rolleyes

thank you so much for your work Big Grin

I've changed a couple of things in the dev tree, which should (at least partially) solve that problem. try again when a new build is published, somewhere around the week end.

Hi dushmaniac,
few days ago i solved that issue changing deinterlacing mode in video options menĂ¹, setting it to "temporal-spatial" or "temporal-half" (i don't remember exactly...)
Btw,now i have the next step issue: hd channels from tvheadend seem not to be processed by GPU (5-10 fps max). After googling around i found there was a problem with older version of tvheadend, but i think this is not my situation cause i followed your guide on the first post of the thread.
Maybe vdpau is not scaling video to the resolution of my monitor (22" 1680*1050) so do you think that this line in advanced setting could fix it ?

<advancedsettings>
<video>
<vdpauscaling>true</vdpauscaling>
</video>
</advancedsettings>

I'll try it tonight

thanks, bye

don't know. hd channels are played using vdpau here, so pastebin a debug log and I might see something odd in there.

Using the latest builds of both tvheadend and xbmc this happens:

When scheduling recordings from within the webui of tvheadend, these recordings actually appear in the recorder schedule of the webui.

When I schedule recordings from the timeline epg of xbmc, these recordings will not show in the webui of tvheadend. Trying to refresh the list or restart the browser will result in an empty list.

Nevertheless, the epg in xbmc shows all scheduled recordings just fine.

Hope this helps.

BTW thanks for building the natty stuff!

Bas.

yeah that's a bug in tvheadend's webui

I have kind of the same problem as jack_burton. Using your latest ppa build xbmc-pvr with tvheadend version: tvheadend/maverick uptodate 2.12.99~git20110507.41a14b5~odk2~maverick. First it hardly showed the Ned 1 HD, Ned 2 HD channels. Now it just crashes. Here is the last part of the log for the crash:http://pastebin.com/DMX3YjYu

I'm i missing an option here?

No PVR Service - kojote - 2011-05-14

Hi

When i want to activate the Live TV the message "no pvr add-on" could be enabled. Check your settings. But tvheadend is installed and on 9982 i can watch tv. in the system info there is no pvr-service too. how can i solve this

thanks for helping

- opdenkamp - 2011-05-14

@jack_burton @konti
there seems to be something wrong when initialising vdpau
ERROR: (VDPAU) unable to init VDPAU - vdp_st = 0x1. Falling back.
no idea why that happens yet.

@kojote:
read the first post in this thread and follow the instructions there. you probably didn't enable the add-on

In the latest build does not work the volume down with minus button on the keyboard. "keyboard.xml" looks fine. If I set another button (not minus) for volume down, everything is ok.

- opdenkamp - 2011-05-14

that's a known bug in mainline xbmc
