Hi all,
I just need some help here. I have installed XBMC on to my ATV2. I have set it to auto boot into xbmc.
But now I cant seem to SSH into the ATV2. Its abit strange. I can filezilla to the ATV but when I try to ssh to it with root/alpine the ssh window closes. I've tested the password and it works with filezilla. Is there a way to disable XBMC by editting files and re uploading them. Or should I try and restore the device?

I had this issue too, the only way to fix it is to keep restarting your apple tv and the second you see the front screen log in
took me about 10 go's before I managed to un-install this piece of garbage

FYI, I had this installed and working fine for several months (dead ATV remote battery and too lazy to replace it) and started getting bootloops this afternoon.
Fixed it by hard resetting the ATV, waiting for the apple logo and then SSH'ing and running the apt-get remove command mentioned earlier in the thread. I could then run XBMC through the menu.
