For those that are still having problems after the unhelpful comment above..

System > Video > File Lists > Extract thumbnails and video information

Turn that off.

Oh, and by the way..

FANTASTIC WORK!!! major improvement over the standard build available at the moment. Just literally unboxed, jailbroken and installed your copy (although had a couple of problems with the whitelist and seatbeltunlock dependancies.. but once i'd got them manually it was perfect. Will definately be using your builds atleast until the merge with the Dharma tree.

cheers again.

How was my comment unhelpful? You posting the same information I did is unhelpful.

Pretty sure it's by design (i.e. it's an exit not a crash) since it only happens at the home screen and it makes sense.

Generally the Menu key press is to go back one level. However, in the home screen that key press brings up Favorites so I guess they decided to take the next best choice and assign the Menu key hold to the exit function... which is fairly intuitive once you know it's there.

I think he is pointing out that your directions were not completely accurate (same problem with meshuga's similar directions). Thats all. I don't think he meant anything more. I had to hunt a minute looking for it.

Another bug for the 'being tested' list? - jd2157 - 2011-02-02 23:45

Looks like davilla is looking into the issue where XBMC crashes on it's 1st launch when coming out of sleep mode (2nd launch always successful).

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=92038

Meshuga, maybe you can add it to the list of issues being tested and awaiting confirmation?
