[MAC]question about VDADecoder(hardware acceleration)? - xbmcxg - 2011-01-28 hi, I use XBMC 10.0 on Macbook Pro 6,2 with GT330M graphic card. I play wmv format of 720p and 1080p movies in XBMC. When playing movies, i open and close "allow hardware acceleration(VDADecoder)" and find there is no much differetn about CPU usage, so i guess i don't open VDADecoder rightly. Can someone give some guide or webpage to describe how to use hardware function on Mac? Does the VDADecoder support all pixel format decoding such as 640*384 or other not 720p and 1080p? Thank you. - darkscout - 2011-01-28 http://xbmc.org/davilla/2010/05/03/osx-gets-h-264-accelleration/ Quote:Now, non-CrystalHD equipped XBMC for Mac users can enjoy the pure pleasure of accelerated H.264 decoding that was enjoyed by XBMC for Linux (VDPAU/VAAPI/CrystalHD) and XBMC for Windows (DXVA/CrystalHD) users. |
