Have my apple tv2 jailbroke and XBMC installed - Works great and with a little help off here got all my network shares working!
My problem now is when I installed xbmc on my appleTV2 it was kind of zoomed in so I could not see everything. So I went to the system and used the zoom -2 out option at first!
The problem is when I play my media after playing for a few seconds it kind of zooms in creating bad cropping on the movie and when I use menu to come out of the movie the menu is then left like that.
Seems very strange - I have also tried to adjust the video calibration! with similar results!
Is there an ideal setup for the apple tv2?
I have 2 apple tv's both connected to 42" TV's and both have the same results!

Sounds like your TV is trying to auto-adjust itself.
Check the setting, and set it to 16:9/Wide and not Auto.
Same thing happened on my Panasonic 42" plasma.
