Can anybody post the link to the working Realtek driver please?

Leaves the question why it only happens with Eden, at least here: Eden has buffering issues (with my Realtek onboard), while Dharma has not. Switched over and over several times to make that sure, but I am 100% certain that there is no buffering issue with Dharma using the same hardware...

One possible solution for any network with a wired connection - Citizen_Seven - 2012-03-10

It's curious that rolling back drivers solves the problem for so many people, particularly when the newer drivers don't cause any other problems but in the latency sensitive area of streaming. While I haven't tested this solution for XBMC, I know that a recurring problem with intermittent latency issues that has plagued network cards for at least a decade is the auto-negotiate setting. This is usually set when the card is installed and, since it doesn't give discernible issues, is often overlooked when troubleshooting. So, the solution would be to manually set the connection speed of your network card to the proper setting for every wired computer on your LAN.

This can be done via Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections, then choose the connection, Properties, configure adapter button at the top. The advanced tab, and the relevant item will have a name something like "speed and duplex". You should set it to the actual connection speed of the router port your computer connects to via ethernet, probably 100mbps duplex for most home routers. It might not be a bad idea to try setting it to this even if both router and card are GigaBit, as those often have latency issues as well.

Since these buffering issues affect both wired and wireless networks, this solution obviously won't work for a purely 100% wireless network. However, a typical setup has the media "server" (file location in the case of xbmc rather than true application server for a client/server environment) wired to the router, it could solve some seemingly wireless issues as well. It would also explain why rolling back the driver solves it, since the earlier version may not default to the auto-negotiate setting.

I apologize if this is a known attempt at a solution, but I didn't see this particular offering in the vast array of buffering problems.

This is one of the reasons that when I get my HTPC only computers running perfectly, I turn off Windows Autoupdate. If it works, it don't need fixin.

Well, the question remains: where to get the 04.2010 drivers from?
