The two things I dislike about using PlayOn for ESPN is 1. No tv listings and 2. PlayOn crops the top and bottom of the video so you can't see the news/scores ticker.

Well just tried to watch ALMS Qualifying via the Add-On, doesn't work, Script Failure.... I hope Blue Cop can get on top of this soon because the ALMS will be running races every other week until Oct/Nov. This weekend's race is also live on ESPN2 but that's not important here, we don't depends strictly on Cable/Sat access do we?

Well you're paying for Play On so of course they have incentive to fix it when something goes wrong.
If I have to start paying for stuff that works, I might as well switchover to GameEX since it works by default in Windows, is added to the WMC menu. I can also use My Movies for movies and tv shows and vmcPlayit though not developed any longer still works with Play On (ESPN3). I might as well buy the com skip as well while I'm at it.
This is the downfall Linux based software that's free, people are coding in their spare time out of love/passion. We would see better results if we paid for the apps we run.

These instructions are very similar to the thousands of other tries I've seen throughout this forum, but I just followed these instructions and got this to work for the second time ever..

Spoke too soon; for me the only WatchESPN streams that work correctly are live. All replay streams are for very old videos (like 2 years old) that don't play.

I cant get this addon to work with the ouya, Im able to enter the app but when I try to play a video I get a script error message. I enabled new user file and login. This same settup worked on my pivos linux build.

how recently did it with for you on your pivos? It worked fine on mine up until about 2 weeks ago....now, nothing but script failed responses. I think it's just a change in the website that hasn't been reflected in the addon. Let me know if it's working for anybody else.

Guys, make sure to specify what channel works and who your ISP is. Otherwise you are going to hear it works for him but not for me a lot. At least in the past, ESPN had a different behaviour depending on the ISP. For example the add on worked only for ESPN3 with comcast whereas ESPN/ESPN2 worked with other ISP's with those workaround mentioned.

I'm using Cox, and logging in on my linux pivos xios. All channels used to work, now none of them do. I'm not computer savvy enough to understand, but does what's being mentioned in the following link mean anything to anybody else?

I have the same issue. Plus the format looks little different. Soccer now says fusball. We are getting close.
