beschmid Wrote:Bluecop,

Thanks for time and work you are putting into this addon. Greatly appreciated. Are the above instructions still necessary with the changes you have made in v0.9.4?
I left everything the same from 0.9.3 and everything still works

only if the login doesnt work for you.

i will say it again. email or pastebin logs. do not post on the forum. you are not posting enough information and if you were it would be to big for your post:

Thanks - lunafermat - 2011-10-30

I must have missed this post from Bluecop on how to set up version 0.9.3. Still works with 0.9.4 and now everything is back to how it was. Thanks all for the help.

The automatic login was not working for me with ATT and the userdata.xml and cookie file worked fine. I tried it again tonight and it worked great. I think in general using the custom files are better because of how finicky the login scripts are. ATT goes down regularly even for my desktop.

New version working well with the custom folder and files.

Thanks

i love that this plugin now takes advantage of the Library Mode.

The only thing that I'm finding is that for some reason, this plugin will not remember the last used view -- like all other plugins.
It keeps reverting back to the icon view, when I try to use the list view. is this a plugin flaw, or a skin flaw?

thanks for any advice.

- BlueCop - 2011-11-01

it sets the confluence view # for media info 2. I think the view # might have changed since dharma so it is setting the wrong one for it. i will make it where you have a view option.

I am also working on timers for upcoming events. The idea is that you can browse your upcoming list and select a video then it will show you an option to remind you on the start of the event. I also want it to display an option to start the event. I am new to this type of timer. I think this would be a cool feature though.

I also had an idea to separate live events by channel and list the live event on top but also list the next 12 hours of events on that channel below. I might look into scripts that build channel guides.

thanks for any ideas for improvement. I am working on some Epix HD cox login code right now. it should translate to espn though too.

Instruction - beschmid - 2011-11-01

Bluecop:

After the update I have been having problems with python errors and can't seem to get it working again. I access ESPN3 using "Remote Access". It would be very helpful to me and I think others if you could give us specific instructions on how to make the addon work with remote access. Unless nothing has changed since the instructions you posted a week or so ago (post #?sorry). I could be the lone idiot as well, sorry if this is the case.

If it wouldn't mess anything up in the settings, would it help to put a remote access enable in the settings? Thanks again for the time and effort. -brad

beschmid: what is your "Extended Network User" option set to? enable or disabled?

I tried to explain the new options here

ok so it should be

/private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/userdata

plus the espn3 folder...i can see the userdata.xml but not the cookies.lwp in there

enabled

I am working on getting you logs.

barnetty: it only creates the cookies.lwp if you use the login code in the plugin. you might need to make the file yourself. this post and the post it links to have info on the file format. http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=922744&postcount=574

beschmid: Does it also fail if you disable it?

Yes it does. Okay, I just uninstalled, deleted all directories for ESPN3, and reinstalled.

If I use remote access is it still necessary to create my own cookies.lwp file?
