That content is now available on WatchESPN. ESPN3 is a network focused on exclusive programming.
What will I be able to watch on ESPN3 now?
Exclusive programming on ESPN3 includes college football, college basketball, NCAA Championships, tennis, golf, soccer, cricket and more. Limited events from ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU still exist on ESPN3 during some windows.
When can I still watch ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU live events on ESPN3?
ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU live events will still be available on ESPN3 weekdays from 12:01am-5:59pm and weekends from 12:01am-11:59am. All times local.
How can I tell which specific games are blacked out in my area?
Blackout maps denoting areas of coverage are located next to each event in the schedule page.

Yes, games available on GamePlan and Full Court will continue to be carried on ESPN3, subject to local and regional blackouts.

Yes, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU replays will continue to be made available on ESPN3. Replays will be accessible as early as immediately after the conclusion of the event and no later than 2:30 a.m. ET that evening.

Hello all. I'm a noob when it comes to jailbroken ATV and XBMC. I've been searching around for a good two weeks. and having had much help.
ESPN video add on does not work. I load it and everything looks great. I go to the live list and i can see everything that's currently playing live. I click an event and then a box in the center of the screen says "ERROR" and that's all I get. I don't get a script error or anything. I found some other forums that said to change some things in my settings and stuff(custom user files and stuff). I did that but it still does the same thing.
I have the log i think. I'm not sure if I grabbed the right one or not. It's the xbmc.log file

Will this work with a friends log in? I tried it for watchespn and it worked. Tried it on here, and gave me a script error. Didn't know if it worked by ip address or not

If we could organize the proper information by cable provider and/or platform, and add it to the first post, i think that would be helpful for everyone.
Charter Communications:
Under the Settings-Add On menu in XBMC, use the Configure option under the ESPN plugin. Verify/set these options:
Play in XBMC = On
Use Custom User Files = On
Enable Login = Off
Cable Provider = Charter
After this I have to run the plugin, select live, then exit the plugin, go back to the settings, and turn OFF 'use custom user files.'
Everything works after that, though I only have the ESPN3 channel selected...I don't have cable so no access to other channels for me.

Great News about streaming. Tested on my Apple TV for now. In morning ill look into other programs. Apparently the "Lib Files" in XBMC haven't been updated in a year. For those who are not familiar with these files. The "Lib Files" are what allows up to stream without any breakage or delay. So, this is the problem when a game starts for 3 seconds and then we get kicked off in ESPN 3 app. Also thfile helps all the apps in XBMC stream better. So without wasting anymore let's update that Lib File.
We will have to SSH here are programs necessary.
Windows -- WinSCP http://winscp.net/eng/download.php
Mac --Use Terminal
Using SSH instructions for newbie. On apple tv go to settings/General/About/Network
Now write down your IP address. Launch 1 of the programs I've listed underneath. Put IP address in.
Username is --> root
password is --> alpine
Ok go to this site and download this file. http://fusion.xbmchub.com/livestreams/librtmp/ios/
it's a zip file. Unzip on computer. There will be a Mac folder and a file called "librtmp.0.dylib" you will only need that file. Ignore the Mac Folder.
Pay attention closely here.
Next go back to SSH screen. It should be split screens there. On the right side. You need to go back 3 folders. Or until you see "Applications Folder"
Now go to this folder
Applications/XBMC.fracppliance/Frameworks
Now on the left side go to wherever you unzip your files. And just drap and drop this file to the right side.
Librtmp.0.dylib
You be prompt to replace file. Click Yes. Exit your session and reboot XBMC.
Main apps that stream better icefilms, ESPN, Free Cable, Sportsdevil, 1channel just to name a few.

Really looking forward to this. I have been getting around the blackouts in TN by using HotSpot Shield and using WatchESPN.com through my web browser. Would love a more hassle-free way of watching that is integrated into the app on XBMC!
