thank you.

those are "alternative providers", so if you want to use weather.com which is standard provider of this addon, you can just toggle off a location slot.

KidVulcan Wrote:Hi,
I downloaded the latest revision that you posted and I'm still getting errors. I'm trying to use it with the Neon skin, which is listed as being compatible. I've included a link to my log file below. Any help for this marvelous add-on would be greatly appreciated

I reviewed your log file.
According to that, you're using accuweather.com but didn't select location for accuweather.com
Whenever you choose an alternative provider rather than weather.com, you should change location for that.
The location which can be selected at the default weather settings is just for weather.com.

Yep, that did the trickBig Grin
I wasnt aware that you needed to reset the locations though I'm sure you've probably pointed that out before and I missed it. That's why I shouldnt be messing around with things so late/early in the day. I just couldn't wait to have this wonderful add-on back up and working though.

It probably also doesnt help that your plugins location tab is all but invisible in Neon.

PS. It just occurred to me that the last bit there could be taken as a slant against you or your add-on. Pleas know I did not mean it that way

EDIT: solved

The weather script is not working for me again.

I logged on today and it said it could not update the add-on. I uninstalled the add-on and then re-installed it.

Rebooting XBMC, it still fails to load and thus the forecasts do not work (and so forth).

Here is a link to my log:

I was having issues as well. Suddenly they went away. Not sure if an update was installed today that I was unaware of. Perhaps uninstall it and then reinstall it?

- Hudson_Hawk04 - 2011-06-12

tried that...gonna sit tight and see what happens.

update still getting a routine error on my standalone xbmc ubuntu 10.04, seems to be working fine on ATV1 (sam's image)

Just to say that I see similar issues every time the script tries to update itself on my system. The update always seems to fail, and leaves XBMC thinking that script is not installed anymore, requiring me to install it again. Once I do that though, it continues to work until the next time there is an update.

One exception: this latest update failed, but it did not uninstall... I was able to go and manually run the update again, and it was successful (I had to quit and restart XBMC for the script to re-start).

Two of mine did just fine updating, but the other two wouldn't. I had to uninstall it and then go into my userdata and remove anything that was weather.plus. Then I reinstalled it and all works fine now.

According to your log, you didn't select a location for NOAA.
Please try to select a location.

- Hudson_Hawk04 - 2011-06-12

aah thanks, thought it defaulted to the location I had all ready set, my bad.

- Hudson_Hawk04 - 2011-06-12

if i set to accuweather the addon works fine...I think there may be an issue with NOAA, it still error'ed off with the zip code entered for the location.
