Can't see much take up for that action - uk users can get very touchy about 'foreigners' accessing uk tv!!! In fact, I'm not sure just how 'legal' they are themselves - they had a run in with some of the broadcasters a while ago - they maybe have a deal with Freeview to rebroadcast as all the channels are from the Freeview list. - castalla - 2012-03-08 21:11 stammie Wrote:The only BBC channel iplayer doesn't have a live stream for is BBC HD I know - you mentioned ITVplayer - it's only catchup, not live. - PatrickBateman - 2012-03-08 21:33 castalla Wrote:Can't see much take up for that action - uk users can get very touchy about 'foreigners' accessing uk tv!!! I think the older generation maybe, but I think our generation believe in tv for all. I honestly don't know anyone that gives a hoot about who watches our amazing tv shows such as Cash in the Attic and East Enders etc ![]() I'd happily agree with the US that they can have access to our tv if we get access to theirs thatd be an awesome deal ![]() I do use a VPN to get access to TVC if I am away, however I do it via my home pc, in the uk (VPN to that and then access TVC via my home pc ip) it works when I'm away but as I have a poor Internet connection I don't rely on it too often. I agree they are very restrictive with their service, but they were deemed perfectly legal a while back as long as they didn't "record" tv and distribute it (which is what the service initially was-hence the name) as long as they stream only and don't record, they are essentially legal. One lawyer tried to get around it by saying that the 1/2second delay was because they were recording and re encoding the feed then serving it out, but I think that too was dismissed as nonsense. This is why I absolutly adore BOW and Mikey as they are at the forefront of a tv revolution. Look as shows like "touch" doing a global territory launch! Also TVC was essentially a grey area of young guys serving tv, now it's a legit business (free for users) I think these guys will end up somewhere similar or doing a similar thing, they're Entrepreneurs in my opinion and I am so grateful for all the work they put into this ![]() Love you guys
