boppen Wrote:Hi, and thanks for the answer!

It's connected to a gigabit switch by cable - maybe it's the NAS? It's a Netgear ReadyNAS NV+ and it's not extremely fast. I will try to go for wireless (wouldn't it be strange if that worked better Wink and maybe try to put a video file on a computer and share.

I'll report back tomorrow!

I enabled FTP on the NAS and now everything works just fine! So it was SMB that was the problem.

Thanks for the help!

keith Wrote:Yup, looks like python isn't building/loading right? I'll do a fresh build and some testing.

Same thing happened to me with the Windows June 16th nightly - none of the add-ons reported version information and then were all flagged as broken. I updated to the June 17th nightly and everything went back to normal.

Same thing happened to me, but I declined deactivating the plugins.

All plugins still do their work, but I cannot update them (because XBMC thinks they're broken).

Oops, I disabled them - well nice to know I can try and turn them back on Smile
Love these builds!

NO mp3 sound after June 16th update... - JordiMayor - 2011-06-18

Ulps!! After the last upgrade June 16th, all my video files play with sound, but my mp3 collection files freezes my appletv2: No sound...

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance....

The June 16th build is also causing my XBMC to freeze up randomly and require me to kill it manually via SSH. With nothing that looks out of place in the debug log either.

Happens in seemingly random places, including home screen when left idle or while navigating menu items, or pretty much anywhere randomly.

ssh in, see if dmesg says anything and/or syslogd. You may need to install syslogd and reboot for it to take it.

Known issue. Bug in mp3 playback on ios.

- keith - 2011-06-18

Confirmed with the team that it wasn't a python issue, rather a bug with the new addon versioning. New build is forthcoming!

Sorry I am little confused, are the library scanning issue and database view problems solved in the upcoming build? Sorry, just getting a summary what to expect from the newer builds.

The library scanning/scraping issue does seem to be taken care of, but not sure if the views patch/hack was fixed. I ended up dropping my entire database and starting over and that works great for me, but unsure if it will use the existing db without crashing. Let us know!

Worst case, it just crashes on load, you look at xbmc.log and you'll see it was a query that did it.

I do have another build that will be posted soon, so you might wanna hold off, maybe it has the fix for views in.

Thanks Keith, really appreciate your work!
Especially the nice branch/trunk/pull explanation: so much clearer for users now.

I downloaded it from <http://hadm.net/xbmc/>, and then SFTPed it over to my AppleTV.
