Any MySQL users here?

I've tried both this build and the latest official build, no love for MySQL anymore with the latest nightlies of XBMC running on my server (Win7 Based). My OSX and Win7 machine can both see the DB just fine. ATV2's won't even boot with MySQL enabled anymore.

This happening to anyone else? I assume this is just a side effect of using the nightlies but that's the way it goes.

Yes, not sure why exactly yet.

Hey, newb here but very nice work. I've been following for awhile, just never posted yet. The recent builds have been promising. One question, sorry if it's dumb or obvious, but what exactly is in the http://hadm.net/xbmc/ae/ directory? Are those the official stable versions? Thanks

That's cool, keith - It's just reassuring to know I am not the only one with the MySQL issue. I know the team will figure it out, and I will of course post any testing/results I can. It looks like a lot is being done with MySQL and library indexing/cleaning still in the nightlies, so it makes sense that there would be issues in this area.

I am still using a 4.2.1 box and was thinking maybe 4.3.1 would fix it but I guess not. I'll just wait it out!

Yup, thats pretty much how I feel too. Since we're in a huge flux right now (tons of stuff getting merged in) i'm just not even bothering about mysql stuff until it calms down a little more.

Upgrading to 4.3.x won't fix this issue, that really only helps 'core' problems, like drivers, what we would normally refer to as 'operating system' problems, not 'applications' issues, what XBMC is, naturally. Smile

Hi Keith, could you please add a releasedate over your .deb Links in the First post so that a New Version is visible for everyone directly?

- rickrude - 2011-06-23

Keith, do you post your new builds on twitter?

Hello everyone, first off let me say thank you for all the work & assistance that give to everyone. I've been having problems with my aTV2 for the past few days; it all started with messages on my screen saying various plugins were considered broken by the repo would I like to detete it. It was weird to me, but I didn't really worry about it, because the only plugin I really use is Icefilms; 2 nights ago I watched a movie, & as soon as the movie was over it said the same thing about Icefilms. I didn't delete it at that time, but when I checked in the add-ons it said broken next to it. That's when I uninstalled & reinstalled the anarchintosh add on, but when I went to reinstall Iccefilms it keeps saying installation failed. Could someone please assist me in reinstalling this plug in? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the nighly build Keith, 720/1080 HD movies play great on my Ipad, Music also now works fine and the new audio engine seems to be great. I also enabled dirty regions which seems as it may now work after fix commit 64fa139d2cfe9d44d954 but I don't know which commit the your build is released on anymore. As for the plugins, I've not tried any until fixes appear in the commits.

As mentioned earlier in the thread could you add the commit number to the filename or timestamp to the filename. But at the moment so many commits are happening that when ever a new build is released, fixes for other problems are appearing soon after. This may help people in reporting what errors they are still experiencing or not reporting something that is already fixed.

Anyway the build dated the 22-06-2011 is still experiencing problems with artifacts on screen, but I'm not sure whether to report it.

Ok, I'll try, and you can look in http://hadm.net/xbmc directory for the file dates. Smile

I have a personal account I mention new builds on sometimes. @keithah feel free to follow! I will try to be more consistent posting when I do builds.

I'm getting crashes while scanning content... I am using the latest AE build (Built on Jun 25 2011 (Git:20110625-f62b093)), but as this is not AE related I am posting here...

I recently exported the video list, switched from SMB to NFS. Modified the video database by changing all the SMB links to NFS links (I know they are proper)... as I can play the content just fine.)

xbmc.log
AppleTV_2011-06-25-184958_Apple-TV.plist

Not sure why the operation isn't permitted. I have the folders set to 777...

- Memphiz - 2011-06-25

@Tenny ignore the nfs errors ... this a false errors which shouldn't appear the next time i pit my current nfs work into trunk

for the crash it seems the appletv frontrow software itself crashed ... we would need the syslog to verify that...

i bet it is a scraping issue with out of memory crash...
