This behavior is intended and in no way an error:

When playing a video long press menu and you get to the xbmc-interface with movie playing in background.
To get back to fullscreen video just long press select/ok (or use the fullscreen-button in the popup dialogue or the main menu).

Just updated to the new build. Have not updated since May. I am happy to say that now .iso play without previous buffering issues.

Thanks.

Thanks buildbot Smile

(Looks good. It resolved the delay I was seeing in the July 6 build. It'd take 15-20s for video to start after pushing PLAY.)

UPDATE: spoke too soon, the delay still occurs in a dir with 15 files (each one 350Mb), atv2 must be busy figuring something out with all the data/files in there >> actually it's busy loading the subtitles, once I deleted them videos start playing a lot faster)

I'm sure someone will as soon as you share the appropriate information:

By "crashes after step 2" you mean the "dpkg -i latest_atv2.deb" file. This should leave a trace in the logs to help diagnose what's wrong.

Konrad77 Wrote:Hi, thanks for the new build!

Just out of curiosity, which compiler do you use? Default in xCode 3.x is GCC but xCode 4 uses both LLVM (which produces faster code in some cases (well most cases)). Can XBMC be built with LLVM 2.x or even 3.0 (xCode 4.2)?
Thanks!

We use Xcode3 for maximum compatibility, since OSX builds for 10.5 PPC/Intel too.

I still haven't re-setup my mysql db stuff, hopefully I get to that tonight. I just setup a 2nd ATV2 too, and need to put a bluray drive into my mac mini and put it back together, since it's what I use to index the library initially. I am going to try to use an ATV2 this time tho, since much work has went into the scraper since I tried last.

Also just updated to the July 11th build, I noticed my FPS on the System Info - Summary Information Page went from an avg. 31 (fps) up to a solid 44-45 (fps). I hope this is a good indicator. Seems better guys. :-)

On another note, is around 56% memory used, a normal amount on this summary page? I wonder if I can improve buffering by getting this target memory lower? Any tips on that would be good. Thanks for everyone's work. This new build looks great so far.

Signed,
Devin

i just updated to this build from official one. I noticed that when using fanart view + confluence skin, thumbnails arent cached, they are constantly rebuilding. Strange, in official version, everything works ok.

- emkay - 2011-07-11

Yes, thats what I noticed, too. This is in trunk since 1 - 1,5 weeks. :-(

I have also noticed this. Hopefully it is an easy fix and it will be addressed in a new nightly.

Ok, I understand it is standard functionality but once the movie was in fullscreen again I could not exit the movie at all. The xbmc.log also contains plenty errors.
