No its not - there where no changes to nfs since the first feature commit. But there are situations where it crashs (mostly when configured wrong). If you want to troubleshoot your problem please use one of the nfs threads here in the forum and post your logs there ... i'll be there then Wink

Can someone confirm database rev for ATV 11-Jul-2011 build.
Having problems getting it to play nicely with my MySQL database on rev 54
Thanks

Yes, i can confirm that 11 July uses db rev54, using it on ipad and 2 nightly builds (mac and pc).

Cheers,

Ned Scott Wrote:Actually we're just waiting for BlueCop to compile a new version of librtmp which can be dropped into the XBMC files. Could be done today or in a few days (whenever he has time). This new version of librtmp will bring back Hulu!

Edit: and Hulu is back! http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=839078&postcount=14

Can you please provide the path where the librtmp file to be dropped?

Thanks

Hi,

I've installed the 11-Jul-2011 build on my iPad 2 and am experiencing intermittent crashes (and by crashes I don't mean XBMC dies and returns to Springboard - I mean the iPad itself reboots, which is a fairly serious problem).

I'd like to enable debug logging in case it happens again, but is there a way to prevent the three lines of text appearing onscreen after having done so, at least during video playback? Because I'm not able to reproduce the crash on demand, I'd like to be able to use it as "normally" as possible while waiting for the problem to crop up again, but unfortunately those lines of text during video playback are a little too distracting.

Thanks

Hi All,

I have been messing around with my AppleTV2 now for days and it is driving me nuts. I had jailbroken it, installed xbmc, various plugins, etc. Everything was working fine until I stumbled across this nightly builds information. I wanted to install the build, mainly because I found some skins that seemed to only be compatible with the nightly builds.

Long story short, I had some trouble and decided to start from scratch, factory reset the apple tv, jailbreak again, etc. I believe during the process I updated the apple tv to the latest software available (not sure if this is what is driving the problem). I have since re-jailbroken the device, installed nito tv, ran update begone as mentioned on page 1 of this thread, followed the link on page 1 to ssh the various lines of text to prevent check for updates, reinstalled xbmc from nito tv.

Now I followed the steps on page 1 to ssh the nightly build to the apple tv, but when I reboot and relaunch xbmc it doesn't appear that anything has changed. I still can't change to nightly build specific skins, etc. When I go to check system info, it says the following:
operating system: Darwin 11.0.0 Darwin Kernel Version 11.0.0: Thur Feb ...
version in blue at bottom of screen: xbmc pre-11.0 git:20110711-10e09ec (compiled: Jul 11 2011)

Does this mean the nightly build install did not go through? Could anyone suggest a solution? I've tried factoring resetting and going through all of the steps a 2nd time now and again same problem. Even worse, when I go to navigate to the icefilms plugin and play video, they immediately crash after 1 second of play time.

Based on the research I've done, it seems the video crashing is driven by the latest apple update, but the nightly build is supposed to help resolve that problem if I've read correctly. If that is the case, could someone please suggest what possibly is preventing the nightly build install to go through on my apple tv? Again, seems like everything is fine when I am following the steps on page 1 using ssh.

Sorry for the long post.

Thomas

As of this moment you have the latest nightly build. There are no builds (at least not ones that have been posted to this forum) that are later than July 11th.

As for why things are crashing I do not know. You will need to enable debugging, experience the issue, and then post your xbmc.log file.

Courtesy of Memphiz, he ever so kindly asked me if I wanted to post up the new builds he just did, so new builds up!
http://hadm.net/xbmc

Enjoy! Alot of stuff got added. MPEG4 subtitles being a big one (this is a specific thing, if your ASS/SSA subs still don't work, don't blame this) and hopefully the scraper bugs? I'll try it when get off work, but thought I'd let you guys hammer on it now.

- dazex - 2011-07-18

Keith,

ASS subtitling works as well. I think Davilla fixed a couple of commit before the MPEG4 subtitle commit. It worked for me. Let's see if ASS/SSA works for others as well with your latest build.

Ahh, good to know! Anything else you can think of that got added? I haven't been around all weekend, summer means lots of traveling for me. Smile

- Ned Scott - 2011-07-19

I can confirm that ASS/SSA subs work on both ATV2 and on my iPhone 4 using the July 18th build.

A note, if you've enabled dirty regions you might have to disable them for subs to show up correctly.

Hello

One of my files (m4v) is giving me problems. At some point previous to 10.0.9 I was able to play it. But since then I always get a crash when trying to play it library mode:

Log -> http://pastebin.com/YLM49mxm
MediaInfo -> http://pastebin.com/WTqeYuCy
CrashLog-> http://pastebin.com/KXzQhBsC

On file mode, I don't get the crash but playing the file reports an error:

Log -> http://pastebin.com/MUNrDhB6

It seems that the crash (maybe skin issue: aeon mq2) and the playback error are related but not the same issue. This is an excerpt of the playback error when there is no crash:

Ned, can you submit a xbmc.log for subtitles not working with dirty regions enabled and mediainfo on the file?

keith Wrote:Ned, can you submit a xbmc.log for subtitles not working with dirty regions enabled and mediainfo on the file?

I can't seem to replicate the issue now. It could have just been some weird "something" that was resolved by restarting XBMC, and had nothing to do with me removing my advancedsettings.xml file (which only had the dirty regions settings inside it).
