jchau Wrote:So I am new to this and just installed XBMC and the Canada On Demand Plugin. I couldn't get the Global TV shows or the Discovery shows to work. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. But it looks like RMPT handshake failure

Reading a few pages back and looks like some people update their rtmpdump. How do you do that on Windows?

Go to http://rtmpdump.mplayerhq.hu/ and download the windows build. Then put the librtmp.dll in C:\Program Files (x86)\XBMC\system\players\dvdplayer

ok thanks i'll give that a try when I get home.

OK so I got Global working by doing the rtmp update. But Discovery Channel still doesn't work. Anyone got that one working?

- Silverlock - 2011-11-13

I'm watching Daily Planet right now.

- jchau - 2011-11-13

Edited: ok found my problem, had to turn "My librtmp is Awesome!" to get it working.

Not sure if anyone is getting a script error for Business New Network.

I am getting this error:

Looks like I got the same error for Omni TV

teefer22 Wrote:Unfortunately the guy who set up the repository isn't around anymore and no one has any way to update it but him. Jedix did some fixes and created a new zip file. That's why the repository version isn't the newest one.

Everything works fine with that new zip file release.

So wouldn't it be a good idea to make a new repository and then update the unofficial add-on repositories wiki page with a link to the new repos link?

Thanks for the help.

I'm using Windows and I'm not able to watch any Global shows (maybe there are others that don't work, I haven't tried many). The directories for the episodes are all empty. I'm new to this whole XBMC business, so maybe I've done something wrong...let me know if this sounds right:

I got the newest stable release of XBMC, and I downloaded Canada on Demand as a zip file on github (right here). I also downloaded RTMPDump from here (the link next to "Download Windows build"), took the "librtmp" file from there to replace the one I had. Then I turned on "My librtmp is awesome". It took me a while to figure all that out...this stuff isn't very user-friendly for the average computer user. Anyway, despite all of that, Global still doesn't work.

Does anybody know what else I can try? Or what I've done wrong? I'd really appreciate it—thanks!

I'm not sure if that zip file is up to date. He has pulled the all but one fix, but I don;t think he's made a new zip file. Try cloning the git tree and putting it where the zip install to. I don't know where that is on windows.

I'm not sure what you mean by "cloning the git tree", but as a result of trying to figure it out, I tried the link to a zip file on the main page, and now Global works like a charm. So...thanks!

Yes, most websites block all but Canadian IPs.

I would love it if this plugin could be updated.

- digitaltrack - 2011-12-05

I get "script failed" error on Treehouse and YTV. Anyone else is getting the same error? Thanks!

- dieselboy27 - 2011-12-05

There are tons of errors, BNN hasn't worked in ages.
