I just tried Doctor Who on the Space Channel and it works.
I also tried CBC's The National & CBC's The Fifth Estate and it works.

Thank you for fixing this Video Add-On! It's great!

A lot of the content gets Geoblocked when I have my Unblock-US enabled for the US but I'll look into a VPN that I can setup specifically for my american Add-ons.

Wondering which networks are giving you trouble with unblock-us?
Unblock-us is supposed to be smart enough not to tamper with your local content access... did you let them know of your issues?

I am getting "script failed" when trying to access TSN. Using XBMC Frodo RC2 and Canada On-Demand 0.7.7. All other channels work fine including CTV.

Anybody else getting this?

Hey guys. Very new to the whole XBMC environment. I downloaded the original andrepl version and obviously it doesn't work. I tried to get the new version from here: https://github.com/marius-muja/plugin.video.canada.on.demand but I can't figure out how to install it. Any help?

Sorry im pretty much an xbmc newbie. Im running xbmc on atv2. This addon sounds great but i havent been able to find it on my addons list. Normally when i hear about or see something i like i just go to get more and find it on the list. Anybody know what i need to do? Keep in mind somebody else put the xbmc on my atv2 for me so i have no idea what is involved if i end up having to hook the atv2 to my computer. Big thanks for any help.

Download the .zip file from that webpage and then go into the addons section in xbmc and "install from .zip file"

(system> addons> install from .zip file)

Tried to download this addon with the repositories installer and its not listed. Checked on the wiki repository list and it says its outdated. Is there anyway to get it added back to the repo installer list would make my life easier since i have no idea how to install from a zip

http://www.xbmchub.com/forums/canada-demand-world-news-live-addons/ here is where you will find all your answers, you should add the fusion installer, after that installing plug ins is as easy as a click

I have been using this excellent add-on with Eden on Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit and it works perfectly.

Now, I'm trying to get it working on windows 7, 64 bit. TV shows from the Showcase network don't play properly. They play for about a minute and twenty seconds, then stop, and xbmc jumps back to the list of episodes. I have tried shows from CTV and HGTV for comparison and they seem to work fine.

Win 7 has this problem with both Frodo rc3 and with Eden.

I'm not sure why things work with ubuntu and not win 7, since the plug-in is the same*.

Can anyone give me some leads? I've looked at the windows faq but the few suggestions there don't help. Would logs be of any help?

*UPDATE: It turns out I have two versions of plugin.video.canada.on.demand-master.zip floating around, (I believe both are 7.7).

The Dec. 19 version is installed in ubuntu and plays Showcase shows with no problem. The version I installed in win 7 is dated Dec. 29 and doesn't work. If I try to install the Dec. 19 version in win 7, I get a "dependencies not met" error, which I assume is from the python compiler.

mariusmuja, any chance of you setting up a functioning repository? It'd be great to update automatically without resorting to the fusion installer.

I'm planning to get a Nexus 4 as soon as it becomes available again, until then my current Adroid phone is not good enough to run XBMC.

Here is my log file:

Yes, I'll look at doing that once I have some spare time.

Thanks,

Are you sure you are using the latest version? There was a fix on Dec 18th for this issue (https://github.com/marius-muja/plugin.video.canada.on.demand/commit/8b9adffafbb34437a9e56bbddf38553965f8a796 ). Try to get the latest zip (https://github.com/marius-muja/plugin.video.canada.on.demand/archive/master.zip ), install it and see if it fixes the problem.

Sorry mariusmuja. My mistake. It works fine on the latest version. Then I tried watching one of the CTV shows and when I clicked on the show (part 1 of 5) then the screen just flashes. It works fine on my Win 7 PC and not my Android box.

Yes, other people have reported issues under Android. Can you post the log from the Android as well?
