No, I meant DNS. Do the DNS servers used necessarily change with proxies? I`m not sure. I don`t know if you can assume that when you use a proxy that you also get a different DNS server. Maybe someone more knowledgeable than I am can clarify this. Try without a proxy but try some different DNS servers. Just for fun.

For anyone having trouble installing v8.0, I was having a problem with the version rolling from 7.8 to 8.0 even when I uninstalled 7.8 first - when I tried picking up the new zip from github it would stay put at 7.8 for some reason. Here's what I did to make it work:

1. Uninstalled 7.8 and rebooted XBMC
2. changed file name of zip file from plugin.video.canada.on.demand-master.zip to plugin.video.canada.on.demand.zip
3. Installed using new renamed zipfile

Hope this works for those who had the same problems as me.

Thank you for posting those instructionsBig Grin I've been stuck on 7.4 forever despite trying to upgrade several times but with your instructions I've succeeded.

That's one option. The other way is simply to uninstall it and then delete your addon.db file. When you launch XBMC it will rebuild it and you can proceed as normal by installing from zip.

Thanks for the updates!

Thanks fasteddy, I didn't know about that trick.

fasteddy what's the path for the addon.db file?

Is there any word on if CityTV is going to be available on COD again, or is it gone for good?

is there any way to install this without copying the zip file, or anyone have instructions on how to grab it directly while ssh'd in?

I wouldn't get my hopes up... CityTV hosts protected streams

I got a bit tired of manually copying the zip files over to my HTPC, so I created an XBMC repository:
https://github.com/irfancharania/canada.on.demand.repo/blob/master/zips/repository.CanadaOnDemand/repository.CanadaOnDemand-1.1.0.zip?raw=true

Install this from zip, and it should auto-update your COD with fixes

I'm keeping them in line with the latest one being marius-muja's ( https://github.com/marius-muja/plugin.video.canada.on.demand )

Just wanted to report that on the upgrade from 8.0 to 8.1 I didn't have to delete the old version to upgrade. My steps were just 2. and 3. from above.

Thanks again for posting your instructions vijayk416

Hi, I've just downloaded C.O.D to my Pivos box.

I've tried watching TSN's content (specifically the CFL on demand) but it buffers constantly, every 10 seconds or so.

Are people familiar with this? What sort of settings should I have for the addon that prevent this issue.

Just for a bit of background, the box works fine with all other addons, and has hard-wired 16MB internet.
