Hi all,

1.1.3f release just made on github.
Available either from the tags release, or as a pre-packaged .ZIP from https://github.com/downloads/liamf/VODieR/plugin.video.vodie.1.1.3f.zip

This release re-writes AerTV support after their site redesign
It also handles all 4 of the An Lar channels, instead of just being hardcoded to one.

And it also renames all things called "scrapper" to "scraper". I mean seriously now. Grammar nazi assuaged.

I have noticed that the XBMC player seems to be a teeny bit unstable when the AerTV streams start playing ... sometimes it hangs XBMC, and you have to restart. Hopefully Eden might improve this, I am not moving to Eden until it becomes official.

Also France24 in AerTV seems not to be working. Will take a look at this for the next release.

Much amusement was had trying to figure out the new AerTV/Brightcove site ... but now that that's done, next week I might have a go an TG4, which also uses Brightcove. Who knows, it might not be impossible after all.

Not sure if AerTV will work outside of Ireland with their new site. It might do. Someone outside of Ireland will have to check it though ... Laugh

Cheers
Liam

As far as I know, it just streams whatever is live on RTE1, RTE2 etc ...

So yes, I expect it will.

Does it have RTE2 on it ?.. I couldn't see it.

Hi - Thanks a million for the update.
I was wondering something - not sure if you've used the latest version of TV Guide plugin but it allows you to add streams to play when you select a channel in the guide - so for instance I have a BBC 1 stream that plays when I select BBC 1. Is there any way, do you think, to create a stream file from VODie for the irish channels so I could point TV Guide to it. It would allow me to have a completely integrated tv feel. CHeers again for a great plugin!

Not familiar with that one ...

Is that in the standard XBMC 10.x release?
Is it a specific plugin you have to add?

Sounds like a nice thing to have ... send us some pointers and I will put it on the list. Or add an issue to https://github.com/liamf/VODieR/issues

Hi,

Here is the thread for TV Guide: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=120377

I'm using Eden Beta 2, not sure if this works on Dharma - maybe give it a shot. I use XMLTV to create my guide. It really works great. Hope you'll like it. Gimme a shout if you need a hand on setup or finding streams or anything.

Dave

xmltv - Slatri - 2012-02-12

Hi daavid when I look for the xmltv for britian and ireland it comes up empty. Could you sent me the link for the xml. Thanks

- Daavid - 2012-02-12

Hi Slatri - You need to create the XML file yourself with the cahnnels you want to include. I use a prgram called XMLTVGUI You can select the UK Radio Times grabber and then choose the channels you want in your guide. It only takes about a minute to download the listings and then you just point the TV Guide Plugin to it and viola. Hope it helps.
