Playback problems with Asrock 880GMH/USB3 R2.0 - rkrman - 2011-04-03 Hi, This is my first post in this forum. I'm struggling with the playback function, I can't get it to work properly. I've built this week a HTPC with the Asrock 880GMH/USB3 R2 and the AMD Athlon X2 245E processor and using the embedded graphics processor. At this moment there is temporarily a display connected via the VGA port. When I install XBMC from the XBMC live CD (10.1) then everything looks OK. But when I try to start the playback of a movie then the screens goes to black for some seconds and then returns to the XBMC GUI. Same problems happens when I start XBMC from CD. When I run XBMC from CD at another desktop PC (intel based) then the playback of the same movie works just fine. When I enable 'sync playback to display' in the settings menu then I'm able to start the same movie. But when I stop the movie then the movie stops but the XBMC is hanging (no crash). For both cases I made a debug log: Movie doesn't start: http://pastebin.com/eNqQUaZv XBMC GUI hanging after stop: http://pastebin.com/vLvarhfF My questions: 1) Why do I have to enable 'sync playback to display' to get it working? 2) Why is XBMC hanging after stop movie? 3) What can I do to solve this problem? 4) The hardware is new, could it be related to a hardware failure? Is there somebody who can help me out? |
