- johnviz - 2011-04-05 21:35 After you jailbreak with Seas0npass you will need to manually install NitoTV using SSH, here is a link for directions: http://www.techtosh.com/install-nitotv-on-apple-tv-2g-jailbreak/ I am posting as I am going along. Getting ready to install and test XBMC. Viz - PainToad - 2011-04-05 21:42 You don't need nitotv. Intact as far as I know nitotv doesn't have unofficial builds that you will need for 4.3.1. - adam187 - 2011-04-05 21:50 My crash report with *.mkv problem AppleTV2 4.3 8F202, PwnageTool 4.3 CrashReporter: http://pastebin.com/bN0f9L6d XBMC.log: http://pastebin.com/CgLVR6Td Seas0npass is the answer - bobthedog - 2011-04-05 22:00 Hey All, I can confirm I have just installed untethered Seas0npass and its working great with the latest nightly of xbmc 04/01. Sound works and SMB works. Hooray

- johnviz - 2011-04-05 22:07 Confirmed as well, Seas0npass untether jailbreak for 4.3.1 released today does fix the SMB and Audio issues in XBMC. I'm still testing but it seems that there is still a problem with playback of .MKV files. I'll keep you posted. Viz - bobthedog - 2011-04-05 22:11 Strange I'm playing MKV files no problem with Hardware acceleration checked (something I couldn't do in the previous build). Whats happening when you try to play the MKV? - johnviz - 2011-04-05 22:14 Kicks me out of XBMC and returns me to the main menu. I just tested one file. I will test again. - dtviewer - 2011-04-05 22:15 Great news guys. 2 questions: 1. Are you using an updated nightly build with this new jailbreak? 2. Are add-ons working? - bobthedog - 2011-04-05 22:19 I'm using the latest nightly posted on 04/01. According to Keith it's the only one that works with hardware acceleration. If your using a previous version make sure you uncheck hardware acceleration in video settings before trying to play your MKV. |
