I installed Trakt and Trakt Utilities but since uninstalled both (or... so I thought?)

The problem is that now whenever XBMC starts I get the popup that Trakt is started/sending media and then it fails. How can I get rid of this as I thought I removed it all?

Thanks!

othrayte Wrote:Can you check which version of simplejson you have, it should be in a file in the script.module.simplejson directory called addon.xml. If that is at least 2.0.10 then you will have to take it up with the main support forums, we can't really help out much here, sorry.

i was having the same problem with the win32 nightly from yesterday, doesn't seem to come with simplejson... so downloaded it from:http://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/xbmc/addons/eden-pre/script.module.simplejson/
and it works now!

Please try asking in the thread for the trakt add-on. They seemed to have done something different in the way that it starts up each time you open xbmc, but I can't give you anymore advice as we do that differently.

Thanks I'll keep think in mind encase anyone else comes forward with these symptoms.

New testing version released - othrayte - 2011-07-04

Hey, great news, version 0.6.0 is ready for testing.
Along with the long list of smaller changes don't forget to check out scrobbling support, it's disabled by default but once you enable it you will no longer need to have the trakt add-on to get your trakt fix.

Those of you already using the testing version will have your copy updated through XBMC for those wanting to download it here is the link script.TraktUtilities-0.6.0.zip.

Please note: Version 0.6.0+ needs at least a nightly build of June, 9. 2011

Please enjoy, and don't hesitate to report any bugs.

Ok, when you can provide the log just enable debug in the add-ons settings and upload to somewhere like ge.tt. For the moment could you please tell us what version of Trakt Utilities and XBMC you are using and on what O/S.

Ok, which version of XBMC are you using? I'll see if I can reproduce but a debug log as advised above is what I really need.

[EDIT]: Ok, I'm unable to reproduce with 0.6.0, 20110701, on Windows7 x64. I'll just need to see your debug log.

i've been having the same issue. What Nightly version are you guys using?

- rudf0rd - 2011-07-05

Good work guys. Gave TU a go last night with the scrobbling support. Coming alone really nicely!

I put up an issue on github. If you need any more info or more of my debug log, let me know.

I simply can't get this to work. I've made several clean installs with different nighties, installed and setup both trakt.tv and trakt.tv utilities correctly but I still don't get asked to rate a movie or episode. I don't have anything else installed. When making a clean install I made sure there was no profile folder under APPDATA.
What nightly version are you guys running?

As per my previous recent message I'm using nightly 20110701, could you please post a copy of your xbmc debug log with TU's debug option turned on and after ensuring that there are no personal details in the log. (preferably hosted somewhere like http://ge.tt)

Edit:
Also, some basic questions, the files you are playing are in XBMC's library, correct? You have checked that TU's settings are set correctly, ie whether rating is enabled (it is be default) and what percentage is required to show the dialog? And you are watching the item for at least as much time as would represent that percentage of the item, note skipping does NOT count toward viewed time.

Ok. I found the problem. Trakt.tv allows you to login with eighter the username or email address.
But Trakt Utilities does not evaluate the email. If you put an incorrect username Trakt utilities does give you the message of "incorrect username" but if instead you use a valid email the script trows an error. You might want to adapt the script to both accept usernames and emails.
