Another question, when I get the scrobbling to work, will it also show "currently playing" on the website or do I have to wait for it to scrobble at the threshold?

Yeah we will update that when we decide v0.6.x is stable.
And yes it will appear as currently playing, but it will disappear while the item is paused.

on osx trakt utilities causes xbmc to freeze when asked to quit, on windows it's fine.
if I disable trakt utilities, xbmc quits fine.

I'm unable to scrobble this episode:

Dosent show up as watching either. I'm quite sure its the singe quote thats messing it up.
Official addon have the exact same bug. And its only when you are using a MySQL database as seen here:

Not yet, but which would be better disable all or more individual disabling. I'll add this to the list of things to implement.

So you want it to sync silently and tell you it is scrobbling, ie you want to be able to control the notifications by section, 'syncing', 'rating', 'scrobbling' etc.

I went back to the official trakt plugin.
Scrobbling using TU stopped working all of the sudden and the only solution was to restart xbmc so it was easiest for me to just go with the official one.

It would be very helpful if you could provide that debug log, without it we can't even begin to fix the problem, ...
OH WOW, all of trakt is down. Well we it comes back up I'll check my scrobbling is working. If mine is working then the only hope to fix it would be your debug log.
Edit: That was short lived, I wonder if it was at my end, anyway my latest scrobble from the last hour worked. Please, please, please could I see your log.

Yeah, its a real hassle when trakt is down. I've been getting that a lot lately.

Fingers crossed that I figured out the performance issue that was bringing the site down. Still more to optimize, but so far so good with my testing over the last hour. Real test will be tomorrow once there is a lot of concurrent usage.
The scrobbling issues were likely there with the official trakt plugin, so I don't think it was specifically TU having the issue. Hopefully both are back up to speed now!
