And now it's stopped working again! WTF is going on?!

Othrayte, no nothing had changed. And nothing's changed now either, but it's just stopped working again Sad

My log's so full of trakt debug stuff that it's too big to add to pastebin, so I'll reinstall the version that everyone else seems to be using and see if that fixes it. if not I'll paste the log.

Here's the log. PLEASE help Sad

I just installed the new nightly build, and also installed trakt utilities after that. When i'm watching a movie the movie is recognized on my Trakt profile, because the message that i'm watching the movie right now is showed on it. The problem is that when the movie is finished it isn't added to my profile. I also don't get a notification in XBMC itself that the movie is added, unlike the trakt addon under Dharma. I tried it with two different movies, but both of them have the same problem.

My system: Zotac AD02, Windows 7+XBMC

I installed Trakt Utilities on my atv2 2 days ago.
When I wanted to watch a 720p-movie yesterdag, it was unwatchable because of all the buffering. My buffer wouldn't get over 1%!!

Uninstalled TU (since that was the only thing that changed...) and the buffering was gone!

@Rumik double check you have scrobbling enabled in the settings, I didn't see anything to indicate it was on in the log.

@Darkzell it seems to fire the "cancel watching" event instead of a scrobble. Maybe you are stopping the movie before the scrobble threshold is reached? Like in the settings maybe it needs 90% complete and you are stopping it at 85%.

@Fire69 maybe TU is syncing things in the background and that is the issue? The scrobble functionality is pretty lightweight so I don't think that part would have this sort of impact on the buffering.

@rectifyer

Can you confirm this is Trakt Utilities doing this please -

This message talks about a sql request consistent with the ones that TU might make but the system that is actually putting the debug records in your log file is xbmc itself. TU has no known way of preventing these.

I've only just had a chance to review your latest log file, what it shows at the end is that you played an item that was not part of your library, ie it has no libraryid within xbmc, this is often caused by plugins like icelibrary. It also shows that whilst xbmc tried to present the required info to allow TU to scrobble it xbmc itself was not provided with that info properly. All xbmx was given was a blank movie title. Unless the item comes from the library or is provided with all of the required details TU is unable to scrobble it.

Could you please try this with an item that is actually in your library.

What method were you using to play the item?

Rectifyer is correct, that could possibly cause this, could you please provide a copy of xbmcs log file that shows this happening.

Rectifyer is correct, this appears to be the case, please review your TU settings for when items are classed as watched.

That is weird! I don't watch anything that's not part of the library! Tv shows and movies are both in library mode, and everything I watch is from the tv shows or movies sections of xbmc.

Maybe it's the nightly build I'm using... I'll get the latest one and see if that makes a difference.

What about this?
http://piclair.com/ego6q

How come that some episodes are being marked as watched, and some as scrobbled, when both ARE scrobbled?

Does it have anything to do with if the episode are watched in "one bit" or if it is watched by "play, stop, play, stop, play"?

Are you having problem with your scrobble?

I'm on "nightly" pre eden on Ubuntu, and using this Add-on.

SOMETIMES when I start XBMC, I get a "warning" about something "failed to connect to remote server".

I think this has to do this this Add-on, since when I've had that message, I think that the scrobble doesn't work. I then restart my XBMC until I don't get that message.

Also (another problem I think), I had problem with my MOVIES being scrobbled but not marked as watched. A problem I didn't have for my episodes, and the only difference in settings was that I had the option to Rate the movie after it was seed, and I didn't had that option ON for episodes.

I removed that option for movies to, and now I have "almost" no problems. =)

Try it..

It is possible that one was watched for a sufficient amount on time to make TU to scrobble it, but on the second one it was not, even still xbmc decided that you had watched it and internally marked it as seen, TU notices this and synchronises this with trakt.tv so it is marked as watched and not scrobbled. It shouldn't have anything to do with pausing (unless xbmc counts paused time towards total playback time, which TU doesn't). Playing an item in pieces where you actually stop it in between would likely cause this, that is because TU currently only takes into account the time you spent watching it in the current session, there is an issue already logged to deal with this.
