How to See hebrew - Ekamhi - 2011-04-07

hi Gilad

the problem with seeing Hebrew is that the fons in the Font files do not support it. after twiking around it I came up with a simple solution. what you want to do is check and see what font do not have contain Hebrew ( you can see that in win8 when you select the font in the browser you'll see in the bottom if the icon has ABC or אבגWink if the font does not hev hebrew look for a similar font that does and replace it by changing the font file name to the font you want to replace.
its not very elegant but it is simple and it works.
however notice that when ever you update the skin you have to redo it as the font library is re-built to the skin default.
the font library of the skin is usually at: C:\Users\computer name\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\skin.neon.svn\fonts
hope it helps

I'm still on the lookout for new fonts - if you find a good, freely distributable, font that contains the Hebrew character set I'll gladly include it with the skin.

Font Hebrew - Ekamhi - 2011-04-07

Hi Stoli,

thanks for your hard work, I will send you the fonts I have and you can choose from them the ones that you find most inline with the skin design/ there are probably more out there so if you want I could look some more just send me a sample of what kind of font you are looking for.
they are from my win8 system download. or ones I downloaded from the web and as I understand it thay are free for noncommercial use so I guess it is OK.

I am not sure what font is for what purpse, you could just do it by trail and error. also remember to change the font in the setting to neon all languages.
(setting/appearance)

"Neon -all languages" uses the arial font, so that would be the one to replace.
