Hi.
I'm running eden on vista x64, controlled via the official remote app for android and sometimes yatse. I recently got an external hdd for movie storage, from which I tried to share the dvd folder via the right click->share method as per the smb section of the wiki.
This gave me two problems:
1) I can't find the folder on the network, either from win7 or es file explorer for android
2) More important: the remote apps stopped working. I have checked the settings in the apps, in xmbc itself and in windows firewall. Everything is as it was before i tried to share the folder. In the official remote i get an error message (sorry, forgot to memorize it before leaving home this morning), yatse simply does not work.
I run no other firewall than the windows one, and the problem persists after turning off sharing for the folder. Searching did not turn up anything relevant, could be that I'm searching for the wrong things.
