Does anyone know how CEC work with a UK sky remote control? I have it working but only with certain buttons. For example if I bring up the video control menu I can stop a video but I cannot pause it. Also what would be the main menu (right click) button on the sky remote?

Sounds like the keys need mapping correctly.
You can either do it manually or maybe try a addon called keymap editor and it there not choose what function you want and it gives you 5 seconds to press the key you want assigned to.
If you do use that remember to save it before you close the addon.
