Hi there
Since migrating my Kodi to 16, I suffer the problem that each time I press ENTER fro Playing a song, it takes about 30 seconds until the songs starts.
No matter which one.
also navigating within Album is now very slow - I don't get it, due it was working until yesterday.
I use central SQL DB on both PCs.
Any ideas where to have a look into it?
Windows 10/Kodi 16.0

hm I don't know, is your entire kodi sluggish? even the simplest of sql querys takes much longer then they should, and I tested the query that takes 10s on my sqlserver(also maria) and it took 0.016ms for me insted of 10s.
Someone else has to step in

I re-installed KODI - seems to be a huge SQL Problem within Kodi or DB is corrupted somehow.
Anyone could help?

Why should I change my SQL, since it was working perfect before Jarvis? I'm not willing to change everything around Jarvis.
There must be a reason, why the SQL connection is that slow, and why whole application is not working as before.
I think, its better to revert to 15.2 - due this was working.

why donnt you TRY sqlite to see if its an sql issue at all, do you run everything default with confluence and without weird addons?

I have no weird ADD-ON (Standard only) and I tested also with Confluence - same issue. Thumbs loading is slow, starting to play a music file is very slow.
and why should I change my whole Setup, just because jarvis is not working as forseen? I know that everything runs as designed.
I'm not willing to spend whole weekend - I'll go back to 15.2. - I know you try to help - but what you suggest is just, change everything so at the end, I'll never find out what happend.
I'll give 16 a last try without central DB.

kodi didnt get 200% magically slower with v16, others would have noticed.
