I am developing an add-on where I would like to include some code that @enen92 provided as a modification of code provided by @el_Paraguayo (the OverlayText class on this thread). However, I'm not sure about what the license is for that code. It appears that what enen92 posted was from a repository under the GPL version 2, but the repository that el_Paraguayo was creating is under the GPL version 3. This would make the code between the 2 repositories incompatible, unless the code from enen92 was released under GPL version 2 or later.

The reason why I'm asking this is because some of the code I'm using for my add-on was derived from GPL version 3 code, so I can't combine the GPL version 2 code with it unless the code can also be under the GPL version 3. Any clarification on this would be greatly appreciated!

All my add-ons are (and were) either gpl2 or MIT. You can use any code I've posted as you see fit.
