I have recently started to use XBMC on an HP thin client T5730 with the onboard ATI X1250 graphics. I have tried XBMC on XP (well XP embedded) and XBMC live v8.10. I get double the frame rate from XBMC on XP - and I think I read somewhere that the drivers for ATI in Linux are not as good as they could be. I have read that new linux drivers now exist

Are these an improvement over the ones in the XBMC Live?
Can I replace the drivers in XBMC Live to try them out?
Would be nice to get better performance!
